Poll: Which race will you play as your main in SC2?

@ Breaker, There are an unlimited number of possible ways to make the queen useful, but the fact remains that what it was in SC1 sucked. To be honest, I much rather see a fresh caster with fresh abilities, rather than see Blizzard trying to salvage a unit and its crap abilities that had sucked for 10 years.

 

that's true, but the zerg having a queen is more zergish. can't be a swarm without a queen.

And why not...? The only thing queen-like about the queen is its name. The Zerg queen doesn't lay eggs, nor is it really needed for control with overlords and cerebrates around. Zerg production starts with the hatchery, I don't see why the Zerg would need a queen unit.

 

although the queen sucked, i would rather have a "queen" unit than a "defiler" unit. the queen just look and sound better, plus flying caster are cool in general.

 

Don't hate on the defiler.  It picked up the queen's slack and held Zerg up for 10 years, it deserves to be back way more than the queen.

I don't know about all your other reasons, but the queen sure as hell doesn't look better.  Personally, I'll take a scorpion/centipede(both creatures known for being venomous and dangerous) over some hideously deformed flabby mutant organ with kissy lips any day.

You can't possible argue that the queen looks better.  As for sound, I think all Zerg sound equally slurpy and squishy, but maybe that's just me.  And I think useful casters are cool in general.

Defilers look like dried up cockroaches to me. Queens are squishy.

 

Ok, I guess this is as good a place as any to post this question;
Now everyone knows that SC2 is gonna be just about the best game ever, but the real question is--Who will be the first person to make a version of War of the Worlds using Colossus?

Yeah I tried to make a map once, but the farthest I ever got was about 1/4 of a map of basic landscaping w/out doodads or any triggers before I completly gave up and just started to hope someone would make a map similar to my general idea lol.

I've made a few it just takes to long and i get bored with nothing dieing, blowing up, bleeding after awhile

Lol my only solution to the bored with nothing dying problem is to just place a whole bunch of something while using starforge and then delete it all (they show the dying sequence when you delete). That was quite a bit of entertainment, but all I succeeded in doing was distracting myself lol.

 

no, thats not intense enough for me, no real fighting, that way its just massive death, not enough violence

Thanks, and yeah he's got a point you know. Also very entertaining. Although I've never tried it myself, I do believe there is an option to have them act like they normally would and attack eachother. I wonder why I never tried that option out...
