Poll: What's the first thing you're going to do when you get Starcraft 2?

And you try opening a three section large All Programs from the Start menu on this computer.

This computer is that bad, that it takes a good twenty seconds to load all the Program File crap.

 

In that case the map editor.

The map editor can create customized races right?

Also whats wrong with shortcuts?

 

It's designed for noobs with no knowledge of pc folder structure, and it just looks really messy. I just have a few quick start buttons and the bin.

 

Play the campaign for sure. Then after I've finished that in one sitting I will do some custom games against the computer to get a feel for protoss and zerg. Then Battlenet on random.

 

Campaign for sure. Play a few zerg custom games, mess around with the editor, then off to b.net!

 

I find it funny that everybody intends to skip the tutorials, but instead try to practice in skirmish. -or whatever you want to call it, I use that for all rts games-

I think that playing the Zerg and Protoss tutorials will be the best choice, if compare it to skirmish -whatever- games.

 

Yeah, if you jump online the day it's released everyone is going to just be experimenting anyway. I don't think anyone isn't going to at least play the first couple levels.

 

I was not even aware that there are going to be racial tutorials for protoss and zerg. Though given the fact that that there will be no campaign for them yet I suppose that would make sense. So campaign, tutorials, games vs comp, then bnet on random

I have a Athlon 64 3000+ with 2GB of RAM and a pretty fast HD (including optimizations like defragmentation and such) and it STILL does that

 

tsk. tsk. tsk. i REALLY need to upgrade my ram on my comp that im currently using =P. it has a pathetic 256 MB of ram T_T. hmm and maybe the video card as well.

 

it's your operating systems that are sluggish, peeps. don't shift blame onto the hardware.

 

Mac and Linux does the same thing. Let's not twist facts here.

 

I never suggested they didn't.

Operating systems are not designed to respond like lightning. Each new release offers lower performance than the previous, which is designed to be offset by the advances in the hardware during that time.

Whatever gains you get from a newer setup are not representative of the improvements in the hardware.

As long as they continue to be designed as they are, your new computer setups will always feel as sluggish as you know them to be, no matter how many times better the hardware becomes.

 

Buy a year long supply of toilet paper..

Put the computer in the bathroom..

Mount an elbow holder on a washing machine..

There will be no zerg campaign in WoL. But only in Heart of the Swarm, which is the first expansion set of Starcraft 2.

Anyway I will play the campaign first. But I will take my time to accomplish the missions.
