The over-curviness of most of the protoss buildings (even units) make them more warm and affable than you'd imagine from a society of high-tech aliens in the midst of an intergalatic war

 

I love the new look of protoss buildings and protoss in general.... its so... fuzzy

if i'm not mistaken, if its powered down, or maybe just not in use, the flying bulb retreats back into the base and it seals up right?

Or was that just a earlier model...

 

I'm not sure about the not in use part, but the bulb definitely retreats into the base when powered down.

 

Wasnt AvP around long before Starcraft? Or at least Aliens and predators were.

The movie Aliens vs Predator came after Starcraft but the other Alien and Predator Movies came before Starcraft

 

you are right : they look like flowers. I am just writing that I don't like their appearance and that I want this structure to be esthetically modified.

 

But there was AvP comics and storys long before the movie.
I just think its attack needs to be a bit more powerfull looking. The first ones attack smacked the enemy while this one is like a little shock.

 

I like the phase cannon, but its artwork and firing art could definately be worked on. The old photon cannon was so cool, and it was manly. The new one is just effiminate, gay and weak.

yes and lets talk all stuff about static base defenses...like base defenses design, AOE base defenses, upgradable base defenses, higher tier more powerful base defenses, more powerful looking projectile base defenses, floating air static base defenses (<-maybe for expansion, ued or xelnaga buildings).... etc.

 

LOL, me and my friends always called the Photon Cannon by Flowers around here.... Blizzard could change its model a bit

 

I think the Phase Cannon looks very good, and the moving idea it's awsome, but i think they should reconsider the attack animation of the projectile, cause it looks exactly like a water balloon, a little one. They should use a bigger plasma sphere (or whatever the sphere is created from, dunno) and it should make at least a little BOOM at impact (not a nuke )) that's my oppinion.

 

i think the phase cannon should lumber a bit more. it would loom more imposing is it jerked up, like say....

if the whole thing rose up quickly for the first attack, and then most of it went back down, leaving only the center piece sticking up. then all the parts around that would go up for an attack and down for the cooldown, like a piston.

 

i wonder how the big the phase canon is in real life. i think it looks retarded in real life with its design and shooting one enemy at a time with its sphere going up and down. anyway i bet its big lorewise and the energy ball charges up and does AOE damage...

i think the toss should get a completely new base defense. new look. but i like the sphere so keep it the problem is the overall all design is just too sc1 photon canon. new?
