well, we want to use words that make us feel big but lost all meaning over time because of their overuse.

It isn't. I suck at seperating details from big issues. You know why. Right?

Oh well, I'm going to read today's newspaper now. One of the largest here, called "De Pers".

    Or maybe I'll read

I find both of those more offensive then the word "but", "kitten" or "holding hands". Oh well, such is life. (Thanks for inspiring me, Itza.)

    Edit: not joking

It would have been funny if the topic title was "********* to have the censor ******* back to the *** ***"

I disagree with that, I believe they are words that adults use to express more feeling with being angry and other emotions.

I mean say someone gets a one of their limbs severed and they start bleeding to death I doubt him saying "oh fiddlesticks!!" is gonna make a lot of sense or express the pain and panic he is probably feeling.

On the other hand don't they occasionally use bad language in Starcraft the game this site is centered around? and the announcement trailers pharse being "Hell, it's about time!" I mean even in some PG-13 movies in the US they use bad language. There is also the fact that young children shouldn't be browsing on the internet alone in the first place. I can respect and understand the reasoning for having the censors but those are just some counter points to take into consideration.

I should note that you are allowed to say *****, damn, and *** on prime time TV. You can also slip in such things like ****, and they have never censored words that can be used as innuendo for various aspects of sexuality.

Personally, I am all for the idea of letting us have the choice of using the censor or not. If you think words will harm you then you are a sad individual indeed.

Like they even care. Way to busy with Facebook and such. Also: I think that some of the Zerg concept art is more harmfull to small children then the word poo. You know what bad dreams can do to small children, right?

    That's why poo isn't censored.

Well obviously they're worse than the Zerg concept art. I mean, those words are censored, and the art isn't. What further proof do you need?

Hmm, I think that the American/Australian systems differ from what we have here. Usually, graphic content is more important in rating stuff then the words that are used. Dutch soap series, for example, have a huge amount of bad language. Still, they are rated for 6 years and up. Some cartoons on the other hand are 12+, even while there isn't any bad language at all.

Remember that we don't have the pegi thing. (Or whatever it's called.)
