Laser shooting dinosaurs, I like it.

Why do they need arms to evolve technologically? what if they have mastered telekinesis or something like that? Until we don't know more about them we can only speculate, but yeah I'd say someone or something helped them. Maybe the new toy of the surviving xelnaga, created to dispatch the zerg.

    I like that.

    But

Suppose their development history was not related to the Xel N'aga or the protoss, the Zerg etc. Suppose they had a different development history. Now that is intriguing.

Seriously look at these things, they are unlike any of the other races. They have got to be in.

edit: I don't think he's shooting anything, I think its just targeting equipment.

I agree with you Lance Leader. The Xel'Naga would be somewhere else. Unlike the Samoengy, they could have been sneaking around. Then pop up, and attack. About the arms, maybe they used their feet to do research, or use their minds. We really don't know.

Maybe the creature represented there is only their attack dogs, their millitary meat. The scientist and real society could be something a lot different. Release the hounds, with lasers!

from the background I'd say they must be some barbarian race with laser shooting capabilities and dinosaurs as pets.

i think they are putting so much time and effort into making SC2 balanced and fun that adding a new race into the mix would screw everything up, unless they did mass testing on it already, before they released the game, which would mean they would already have to be planning it and trying it out. But seeing how much info we now have, and are obtaining everyday a new race is highly unlikley. not at this stage.

That would be impossible. They are large, and must weigh quite a lot. A limb that holds the whole bulk of a creature and thus has hard skin to protect from sharp things and step/land safely can't be used for fine movements, especially not the toes, which would be most needed to assemble such equipment. The most likely scenario is that they're used by more intelligent and physically inferior creatures, similar to dolphins in C&C.

I said maybe the toes. Mostly the move things with their minds, or they are just pets for the Xel'Naga.
