The download link was posted earlier but was removed because the patch was removed from the Blizzard support site. But now that its up, it means that everything should be working now!

I'll give you something for it though.

Does this feature take up more space on your computer? Do you need to uninstall, and install it again?

Hey Dude that would be sooo cool, that should be the limited edition STarcraft II. I have looked on sites, (Future shop, Best buy, etc.) and they say it would becoming Aug, and I agree since they will make improvements. (Sorry for being off topic)

I used to just run the game then take CD out and play on other computer :)

Instead of buying two CDs, of course i had 2 CD Keys, though.

I don't know if any other OS X users have had trouble with getting this to work, but I found that the instructions in the update log were not entirely accurate.

Instead of copying the file to StarCraft Folder, I had to copy it to Starcraft Files (a subdirectory of StarCraft Folder) to get the game to run sans-disc.

Note for other OS X users: Try Blizzard's instructions first. If those fail, then try my solution.

Hi, I'm new here and have been having problems ever since I've installed the new patch. For some reason there are bars running up and down the screen now, like when you video tape an old CRT television, if that helps. Anyone else here of this problem? It's rendered the game virtually unplayable. :/ Thanks for any help

Do these lines appear only while trying to play the game?

Yeah they do, but I found the problem. I had Stardock/ObjectDock open and it was causing some conflicts.

    Thanks for your help.

Did you open up your CD's contents by going to My Computer and right clicking the disk drive to select Explore or Open? You should be able to extract your INSTALL.EXE to your StarCraft directory by dragging and dropping the item into your directory. It'll take a bit to extract but after it is uploaded, rename it to BroodWar.mpq. When you rename it, you might get an error saying:
Just click OK and then go to your folder options and uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.

    @ hydralisk:
I am currently running on this official NO-CD patch and It works just fine. Have you read the instructions and followed it accordingly?

This will be useful on my new laptop. I have both SC and BW installed on my desktop and on my laptop, so right now I have to take the cd back and forth depending on which machine is available at the moment. I can mod the laptop to not need the cd! Sweet!

It's important because if you don't uncheck that box, you won't be able to rename the file properly. If the box is checked you will only be able to create the file "BroodWar.mpq.exe" instead of "BroodWar.mpq".
