Theres a new silent hill and resident evil coming out. Saw it in EB games the other day.

After playing with the Dawn of War II beta for a little while, I have to say that my opinion is changing and it seems like a pretty fun game. The squad system and on the fly unit customization really makes up for not having to build any buildings but concentrate on controlling points and combat.

The interface and online multiplayer system is setup kinda cool although it uses windows live. Starcraft 2 is gonna be better in my opinion just because of battle.net, custom games and single player campaigns. The standard game multiplayer competition though seems to be on the same level.

Final Fantasy sure is pretty Final.

Though I haven't really touched a FF game since VII, it looks pretty interesting. I noticed that they changed the turn-based combat system. Is that a recent change to the games, or has that been implemented for a while?

 

Not that I'd now (stopped at 9 due to lack of hardware), but I think they started messing with it in 12

 

I've played through Final Fantasy 4,6,7,8,10,12 and all of the combat systems where pretty similar except for 12 and I think in 13 they are going back to a hybrid of the ATB system which was in 7,8 etc.

I think its gonna be turned based with doing different actions in one turn based on the amount of action points you have with a ATB.

I'm going to burst if the scout update for TF2 and the Empire total war (Released 4th of march =D) demo aren't released this week!

Empire TW looks to have shaped into a darn good RTS...need the demo to see first though.

Ummm btw, Street fighter 4 this week, am I the only one excited for it. I'm also pumped up for it since it has on-line multi-player system and have gotten crazy good reviews (9.0+) so far by IGN and other companies that got their hands on the retail version early. I will be getting it for Playstation 3 so if anybody wants to tear it up online on PSN let me know.

is nearing the re-release on xbox live.

One of the best games Rare ever made, in freaking HD. And for just 800 points. I am so going to play that. The original is still high on my best games of all time list.

I love Nintendo. They agreed that all N64 Rare games could be released on XBLA, but not Goldeneye. They decided that Goldeneye was fully licenced by them. Not a chance that XBox360 gamers will -ever- be able to ever play the first working console fps...
