Hmm... if it would be give through burrow research, then it balances it out, and the whole idea of disorientation is kinda fun. I also think that only zerglings should be able to do it, because they're the only units that seem able to. I mean, can you really picture a hydra making a tunnel and crawling through it?

Ah, they can certainly burrow, but it would be difficult for that enormity to be able to move through land with its huge claws getting stuck everywhere and wobbling about

That makes a lot of sense Gorythax, the Zerglings are small, agile units. They could rush through tunnels pretty quickly, but a Hydralisk or Lurker just seems to large for it to work properly.

Maybe it would me somesthing you could research in the Spawning Pool after having researched the Burrow ability at one of your Lairs?

    Discuss? :gossip:

I can imagine swarms of Zerglings "pouring" down a cliff to attack enemies below, this is such a cool idea.

Yeah, Forsaken... actually, (if the levels are Hatch, Lair, Hive, I dont remember) I think burrow should come at Lair, and Foraging (sweet ability name, please be amazed by its sheer awesomeness) should come at Hive level? Of course, this would require a lot of work from the engine, now that I think about it.... I mean, it does seem to me like it would add a bigger need for RAM and the such, if Blizzard were to make special graphics, especially with the realistic physics.

Great idea, I'd  you if I had the 40 posts.

@people complaining about too many cliff walkers, they are distinguished in other ways. Not to mention as it has already been said, theres only 2 actual cliff walkers we know of right now.
Blink has a cool down rate (Uses energy too....I think...right? Anyone know for sure?). Stalker seems like a crappy smaller immortal to me anyways. Scrap it for something better IMO.

As far as jumping or burrowing down goes, seems to just be a graphical issue. Which ever you think looks cooler. Personally, I 'd like to see zergling stage diving en mass. Screech as they take the leap, stick their head and legs out forward, land with their thighs popping down the up like the shocks on a car.

Lol, why call it Foraging? I would just call it tunnel or something. :-/
But I guess you have a good point with enabling it at Hive level. (that is indeed the last stage)
Other abilities that are pretty strong/usefull also are available at Hive level, and it takes a while to get there, and if you are at Hive level, you still have to research it first at your Spawning Pool anyway.

This also balances things a little, because enemies will have plenty of time to build detectors for submerged units. (because it takes a while for i.e. the Terrans to get to the Science Vessels etc)

Yeah, something like adrenal glands speed up the process of the tunneling...

And about that powerup thing, (I'm gonna start counting woot) it's the 2nd time someone says that xD

@Bloodhawk Stakler doesn't use energy, just a five second cooldown for blink

Immortal. 100 shield, 240 HP (some sites have 150/150 for hp and armor despite that some pics have 100/240, will try to find out which is more recent, but its hard to imagine 150 shield since they said the immortal is imbalanced enough). (remember that once shield is depleted, siege tanks do full damage against them), 175 minerals, 75 gas, 3 food. Research harden shield at twilight council, 150 mineral, 150 gas, 110 sec, reduces max damage taken to 10, only applies to shield. [H]. only attacks ground

Stalker. 125 minerals, 50 gas, 5 second cool down with blink (no mana), which is researched at twilight council, 42 sec build time. 8 damage, + 9 against armor. 80 shield, 120 HP (thats from the WWI vid, but some had said that it is less than a dragoon, but this is more)? research blink for 150 minerals, 150 gas, 80 sec, twilight council.

Anyways, even though stalker is weaker, it's tier 1, and immortal is tier 1.5 because it needs twilight council to make i tihnk.

Really? That takes the air outta a lot of cries of imbalance. Where'd you get that jewel of info?
