The Nullifier seems like an awesome advancement for the Protoss now. It has the ethereal Observer look to it with the spine of what looks to be some ancient denizen that swam in the oceans of primordeal Earth. Definitly has my vote a s a cool unit. My question is will the beam be akin to the Colossus or will it akin to the Warp Ray? Anyways.. awesome.

Thats a nice question, I'd also like to know whether its attack is similar to a Colossus or Warp Ray

It definitely looks like air. A little odd to produce air at the Gateway but I won't have trouble getting used to it ;)
I was thinking exactly the same thing. It looks like a smaller ray. I hope its tail isn't 'stiff' but rather follows the body on the movement path.

Well since the shadows are so gay, i wouldn't be supprised if it was actually close to the ground, cuz in one of the screenshots which has Vikings, the air mode looks like it is on the ground. Shadows need to be closer to the underneath of air units.

    It looks like a Trilobite:

Karune said the current beam attack is just a placeholder animation. We don't know what the real attack will look like.

I love that it can lift doodads though. What I can't figure out is how it's gonna lift buildings that are dug into the ground. For instance, all zerg buildings are attached to the creep (imagine trying to levitate a sunken colony...) and the supply depots are supposed to go underground, does the nullifier tear them out by their foundations? Wouldn't a building landing after being levitated be completely destroyed when it crashed to the ground? I mean why on earth would the nullifiers let them down gently?

for gameplay/balancing reason. not everything can be lorewise.

i think the nulifier is a ground unit. its just floating/hovering on the ground like the high templar.

but yeah, the nulifier is still a very sexy unit. i love it =]

it looks like crap...period! I was sooo disappointed when I saw the model. Seriously my mood went from excited to sad.

Simply compare these 2 images. The first is the in-game Nullifier unit and the second one is the old model of the Stasis Orb.

Which would you prefer? I'm not in love with the Stasis Orb, but it looks way better then the Nullifier!

    naa i prefer the nulifier.

the stasis orb to me, doesnt even look like a machine that can do stuff. it looks more of a building to me.
i never liked the stasis orb in the first place.

The Nullifier looks nice, but the blue energy stuff on the tail looks out of place, they should put loose plates of armor all the way down from the head to its ball thing.

Or maybe it will be like a Dark Templar, for us its the ugly blue thing but the enemy doesn't see it and all the enemy sees is the armor, that'd be decent.

haha! :p no special reason AcE_01. I just don't like the current model, however It has got potential! I liked Zergalicious idea about just being able to see the plating. That would make a very cool unit visual. Half-cloaked, half visible.

Move the second wings down and you get a hammerhead. Idea? :D

Also, I doubt it can fly. Tier 1 flyer? Doubtful. It just floats close to the ground.

They had legs before, they just didn't use them.
