Nullifier sounds more Protoss like than the others, so Nullifier it is.

hehe, I guess I don't like it as in my mind Nullify reminds me of a type of command you'd do in Final Fantasy or something. And which MOD changed the title???

edit: nvm I just realized mine and GMG's topics got merged.

I wonder what this Null void ability does...

    edit2:

Heres the forcefield ability for those who haven't seen it.

Note that they Templars seem to be channeling their energy into it which brings me to a possible conclusion that the forcefield can stay up as long as the Nullifier has enough energy and is alive.
On another note is this the usual size ramp for is it twice the scale of the usual ramps?

I just posted about this in the Nullifer rush thread, but to reiterate.

Blizzard has said that the Force Field ability costs 30 energy and will last fifteen seconds. Now, if it was channeled, wouldn't it simply cost something like five energy per second and not have a time limit at all?

Not to mention we don't even know if that was simply the High Templar's casting animation rather than channeling. I still really think channeling is going to be something that stays in Warcraft III.

And if you guys want to talk more about channeling and less about the Nullifier...

No, its because they are trying to give the HT´s an attack. They are just attacking on that image.

And the abilities are cheap! 30 for the FF and 50 for the NV! Only drawback is the 100 energy pool.

I am hoping it gets the fusion beam the star relic had that made enemies explode. It would make it great for crowd control muta stacks be damned.

    It would be perfect then

And it would also be a tad overpowered for a tier 1 caster

Fusion beam? I never heard to that ability.

For being tier 1.5, I think the 2 abilities it has now makes it good enough for the cost, 50 min 100 gas.

It was the Star Relic's attack. If a unit die while under its effects then the unit would explode doing damage proportional to its hitpoints so a BC would do a whole lot more damage when it dies than a banshee

It all really depends on what its second ability is

As I've posted in the batch 27 thread, I hope the force field doesn't work like bone wall in Diablo 2. I'd prefer to give the Nullifier 200 energy just like any other caster and make the force field consume 100. For that cost it could work similar to maelstrom in SC with the difference that the enemy units would still be able to attack, but wouldn't be able to move. Yeah, you guessed what would follow that... STORM! >:D

Whats wrong with having it work like bone wall? It would allow you to keep enemies from coming close to your ranged units while zealots go out to slaughter them. Could also stop weapons fire

Well personally I like the force field how it is, just a wall or barrier that impedes those trying to move through it. There are a billion different ways I could think of using them. And I agree the bone wall saved my life more than once in D2 so I don't see why it would be a bad thing.

Suppose you wanted to sorround the enemy like bone prison. You wouldn't be able to do that without moving the nullifier out into the field among the enemy troops where you'd want to cast the 'sides' of the prison.

My idea might be overpowered though. I just think ensnare from WC3 is a very good concept and should be transplanted into SC.
