i dont see the mothership being affected by nukes as a problem because remember it can just teleport away!

The efforts and resources needed for a terran player to obtain a nuke, plus the difficulty of launching a nuke should make it powerful enough to go against the mothership (not necessarily destroy it)

eh i think the nuke is a "projectile." I mean in SC1, the nuke is launched like a rocket and u can see smoke coming from it (of course lol) and it went down kinda slow, but it wasn't like slamming down to the ground like in SC2. So I dunno what this will mean for the time bomb. It could have that effect.

haha wouldn't it be cool tho. the nuke stopping then falling to the ground, rolling down the cliff. :D

Then again, starcraft nukes arent real nukes. After the destruction of korhal, terrans only use tactical nuclear missiles (against all logic.)

A nuke is basically a bigger bullet, except with a radioactive warhead instead of a conventional one. The Time Bomb should slow it down, and when the TB wears off, it should fall to the ground and explode. Velocity has nothing to do with how nuclear devices work. If you drop a nuke from 1 inch off the ground, and the trigger releases (if it was already primed), it will do just as much damage.

    thnx for explaining.
so if i use the time bomb and then a arbitrer to bring the mother ship back to my base, the nuk will fall in this other area exploding without my mothership there.

Well, I'm not sure if the time bomb moves with the ship or it stay stationary, or if the mothership can't move at all, if it CAN move though, you may be able to just get the hell out and then when the time bomb wears out, the nuke just goes boom and hopefully knock out your enemy's units in the process ;)

if the nuk is like in starcraft 1, it will stay in the spot and not in the ship.

No he means if the TIME BOMB moves with the ship, not if the nuke follows you around.

If I saw a nuke rolling down a cliff, I'd send an SCV to go pick it up and put it back in the silo, ready for round 2! haha.

Yeah. Actually, I don't think theres any that actually hit the ground and explode. Doesn't cause as much damage.

Well, the nuke can destroy any unit or building in 2 hits, so all you have to do is lock the MS down maybe 3 times to disable it completely, then just nuke away. If you are unable to lock it down, then the MS can either use the timebomb, the black hole, or just run away from the nuke.

What if when you used the time thing the nuke stopped then after it fell to the ground and blew up into a super nuke. ;D. THEN EVERYONE WOULD BE SCREWED.
