that is not what his OP sounded like to me tho. it sounded like he was putting this off as his own problem. he himself said that they have the technology and all but the reason they dont do it is because its to expensive...

he had also said this "yeah we have the technology, but the people doing the tournaments dont care and in the end we're gonna be the ones that end up getting owned."

again that to me sounds like a personal issue... he is saying that even tho he has the technology or w/e the ppl hosting the tournaments just dont care either way... maybe if the people hosting the tournament where he lives cared a little more or had more money then dont you think the lan/internet would not be a issue?

Edit: actually im not going to get into a political/economy disccusion on a game forum

@Onslaught- If it means so much to you; why not try a fundraiser for the WCG in your area?

Or better yet; make the lack of affordable broad band internet an issue during elections. Internet access has far greater uses than SC2 after all. Looking at the numbers it does seem like you guys are really getting ****ed on the price. http://www.itif.org/files/2008BBRankings.pdf
Complaining on an internet message board strictly about SC2 is unlikely to solve the greater issue.

If there is little interest for people to rally to either cause, then Blizzard is hardly at fault for not showing interest either. It is their IP, it is their product. They can't make every fan wish come true, they have a business model. I assure you that model is based on making money rather than just ****ing over countries such as yours for some good ol' GW Bush racist fun.

I'm sorry, I actually do not intend to be rude. I intend to be realistic.

It tells me that Latam was not originally a high priority area for blizzard. As a latin american, i perfectly understand why that is and that it has nothing to do with fairness or blizzard being a good company or not, its simple business. Nothing to complain about, really.

Its realy not their fault that 30% of the average population lives at or near the poverty line and has a very low priority on digital entertainment, I wouldn't blame them at all if they had a very mild interest in the region.

If you belong to the group that can afford western-style commodities, fast internet should be no biggie at all. I mean sure its an extra cost, but if $15 a month is ruining you, then you probably need to prioritize other things than games.

Unless you are 15, your parents won't pay and you haven't figured out a way to earn that little extra money. Thats not Blizzards fault either.
