    I never use lan anyway.
I have DSL and xbox live.
Isn't it extremely hard to get people together for a lan party?
Everybody is so flakey and they have their own things to do.
Plus people have to drag all their computer equipment, which makes it even more unlikely.
Why go to all this trouble when you can play over the net.
No lan play is a non issue for me.
Lan play made more sense before DSL became popular.

I understand for the people who do not have the internet for whatever reason. Not available in their area, It's stupidly expensive, so they can't afford it, or some other circumstance. I also see why they are doing it on Blizzards side. Either way, there's going to be some people pissed, and that's why there will be a LAN option made available to them soon after release.

For people like me, though, I'm not really upset just because of my situation.

I can't imagine too many LAN parties that will be in a place that doesn't have broadband internet access.

The people concerned are probably the ones that just play LAN games at home with only a few people.
