I think they shouldn't have that timer, its just stupid for actual organisms to just die for no reason as if they were time bombs. Just give them low health; that goes for the Broodlings also.

Psi perhaps they need to stay in contact with the building, so therefore they die? Or they could be a part of the building, and therefore dying after a while.

It makes perfect sense for something to die without its optimal environment, there are countless examples on Earth.

If they didn't die, you would basically be gaining actual meatshields that could be used offensively in great numbers.

At the loss of a building.

Remember the numbers can be adjusted, and low health won't help with a meatshield since those things are so small and only do 4 damage was it?

Also, lore does not justify everything, there is the gameplay aspect also. If this was the case then I could argue Overlords cannot waste vital energy for unlimited time to spread creep, or technically all Larva could be controlled to a location, or Stalkers in real life could blink to high ground without vision from air or a high unit. There are countless examples.

Gameplay-wise I just think its a waste of processing memory to spawn all those units for them to die without doing anything.

i love the new zerg play styles, but i do not like the auto building broodlings. as for the video, i love the new nydus worms but i wish they would changed the build animation to look more like a worm is going to burst out

idea seems ok but they should change the name-
The zerg are referred to as "the swarm," so the swarm unit of the swarm is pretty redundant

    Swarmling, how cute.

How about we call it Uselisk since it dies too fast. And give it an upgrade called Allergic to air, which makes it die even faster.

    Suicide
    - the uselisk suicides and kill all nearby uselisks, enemy units takes no damage.

Exactly how should I know that? The SC2 hamachi channel has long been dead.

I've got to stop posting... my activity bar is going haywire.

the only way i see the swarm (uselisk) as being a (nonuselisk) is that it could come out in large enough numbers to wall the enemy for a short period like the nullifiers force field

Parasites do not randomly die. A parasite is an organism which gains sustenance or uses the host for its own things.
It would be cool to have an ability where Zerg can parasite a unit, and gain control of it, that way its up to the enemy to find out. Omfg that would be so cool.
