Those are temporary auto turrets, deployed by the Nighthawk.

 

In the current build they are not temporary. The Nighthawk has no energy consuming spells atm but pays resources instead. Turrets and Mines (and possibly one or more unknown Nighthawk structure) last forever.

I've been hearing spider mines, auto turret, and the targeting drone most often.

 

hmm...looks like the links in the OP dont work anymore, only get the "this image has been removed" message.

I'm not even sure which race to get good with, I wanna use zerg, but I'm not that good with them in SC1.

 

I've played zerg and beenrather effective with them, never lost a match as zerg...I hate them. 5 matches online as zerg and I've detested every one. Countless LAN matches as well, personally I've always enjoyed Terran they are much more interesting and I like their units more.
