With the link Kuvasz gave, on pic 6. You can see multiple Collosi with no fan beam.

UPDATE* : I am wrong on all Terran model points I made. So I removed the balance of the post that was based on the assumption that the Terran model update was made after WWI.

    You mean this one? http://www.starcraft2forum.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5345

Scroll down and Wlck will link you to the rest of em.

Haha, yeah I agree Itza. It's rather amusing how the Void Rays are brighter than the Vikings and BCs.

LOL guys, it's always possible that I can be wrong. I'm not the God of StarCraft 2 knowledge.

In fact as far as screenshots go most of you guys probably can date things better than I can.

All I'm saying is that from what I have seen in the screenshots leads me to believe that these screenshots were taken between May and WWI. I'm pretty sure that the Battlecruiser had this "new model" at WWI. It doesn't look any different than what I saw when playing. Of course it's tough to reference this with the number of model changes we have seen.

Also, I'm fairly certain about the timeline because the Protoss do not have the same graphics overhaul that they should have at this time. They Protoss were supposed to get a graphics update after WWI and they clearly do not have that in some of these screenshots.

What's the most likely explanation? Some of these pictures are very recent, and some of them are very old.

Another thing I might point out is that in the Mothership pictures, the Mothership is smaller than she was at WWI relative to the other units. They made her larger to make the "slowness" not seem as strange.

Anything is possible. But my best guess stays at May-June.

So here's what I'm mainly basing it off:

    - Some pictures have Zealots with colored psi blades (dates prior to WWI).

    - Mothership seems smaller in a couple pictures (possible this could be a change in the build).

    - The Jackal's (Hellion) attack animation is from a prior version (before WWI) and it's model is definitely outdated.

    - The Battlecruiser may have a model update, but it looks the same to me from WWI (although I can't prove this).

    - In some of the images, it appears the Phoenix may be attacking ground units. This also dates the screenshots.

Harr harr, GMG your dha man!

omg, all those models are dated with June 28th! So that mean the Terran redesign was done before WWI. I was so wrong XD

Well Jon , as always you are right. You are the SC2 god indeed.:D

(Except for once thing: Vista sucks :p lol)

By the way gais, here's how the Protoss structures are supposed to look like atm.
    http://www.sc2pod.com/img/gallery/593.jpg

Protoss' outdated, hence everythings outdated. :p New Protoss are dull and less shiny. Structures now look more outlined, see? The Cannon is not yet updated but next to it is the updated Gateway, Pylon, Cypernetics Core and Citadel of Adun.

Point is, all the "new" screenshots have old toss.

i really like the less bright toss buildings. it gives them a dark goldish color, im guessing to be more "dark templarish" and now you can see the details! WOOT!

i am really looking forward to seeing all the new stuff in the upcoming blizzcon. i think this blizzcon will pretty much answer all our questions. although itll bring up some more im sure....

i think terran should be more dark metallic, which looks like they are going that way.

I for one am NOT satisfied with these screenshots.

In my opinion, they are missing a great component.

    Me playing the game :(

When you think that Jon is wrong, something smells fishy...

For the protoss building update, it looks great. Even protoss buildings should get dusty and dirty. It is kind of strange that all buildings were too shinning clean.

yeah, i first thought super shiny and clean would look great in this game...then remember that starcraft is all about that gritty, dark-feeling type of look.
I have a feeling starcraft 2 is going to look beautiful at the end.

Well it could be super clean, have a Probe upgrade (per unit based). The upgrade would make him unable to attack, warp buildings and gather.

On the good side the Probe is now called Mr. Clean, all white and shiny, runs around the base to keep the buildings clean.

It's a super unit of course, only 1 per Protoss team, else it would be overpowered.

Now feel free to laugh at all the Probe and Mr. Clean relations you can imagine :D
    /end stupidity

In SC Protoss were brighter than the other races with all the yellow base building color. But it was not mirror shiny or anything. Keep it dirty, keep it war.

Now why would dirt stick on the shields? It's a force field, the dirt practically bounces off. I say keep Protoss shiny, Terran mucky, and Zerg be the muck.

hmmm not really. If the Queen ability "Parasite", "Snare", "Broodling", Devourers "Acid Counter" and most importantly, the Defilers "plague" can affect any Protoss Unit bypassing it's shield. Then I think that dust can do too.

  16. A Bear can put a huge dent in a car... that doesn't me I can do that as well just because we're both organic mammals :)

I LOL'd. Post is now "Thanked".

What Tychus said. I can't even believe you compared acid and all those hazardous substances to dust and dirt :D

Why's that so unbelievable? It makes sense. He's just saying that the force field's not a solid, which is isn't really. It's not really any state of matter.

  19. Well, it does make sense that dust would get through the sheild easier than the others because it's so microscopic but I don't see how they're really comparible even though Protoss sheilds such as the Immortal tend to block bigger things easier than smaller things.

@ Itza: Shields aren't solid as such, but they still repel everything (sort of like magnets, but affecting all matter). They can block projectiles like spines and bullets, and since there'd be no point in creating sifter-like shields with holes, I would think it repels particles of all sizes.
