New SC2 Screenshots (All new Zerg Overlord Revealed)

Excellent update! Here's a few things I conclude from the new screenshots:
1. That Overlord totally rules out the possibility of Zerg not being insectoid and I LOVE it. Look at its eyes and tentacles! *drool*. I hope this is a fatal blow to all those who insist on saying Zerg aren't insectoid.
2. Siege mode barrel is still pathetic. I have no idea why they changed the one chunky barrel to this weak two-barrel design but they better change it back soon.
3. The third screenshot contains an interesting design, it's to the left of the bunker at the very bottom of the picture. It could be a doodad but it could also be a Zerg unit. Maybe the Zerg caster responsible for the 'flaming Zerglings'?

Anyway, this is a great update, and it can spark further speculation and ideas so GO BLIZZARD :good:

 

i lke the barrel of the new siege tank in siege mode coz it definetely looks year 2400 etc. xp

im tired of nostalgic stuffs for the terrans. raynor's and reapers' pistols i say axed those.

anyway overlords could be bigger.

 

I am quite sure that it is a doodad, just like the green crystal (cryptonite ) that appeared in the protoss battle screenshot. Just look at it. It is grey and orange. Look at the Zerglings and the Overlord. They are red-brownish. It looks like a Char flower to me.

Also, that green stuff in the Overlord might be... blood. Just look at the exploding Banelings.
Unless Banelings are totally poisonous. Then it's poison...
Overlords might get some ability including that green stuff.

Or maybe, you can see Zerg units float around in it while you transport them?

 

Er... it's totally obvious it's a window. No one likes to be kept in darkness.

 

Finally some Zerg again.
The overlord looks great, but the banelings look funny. Did they look like that when we first saw them, or did I just notice it when I enlarged the picture?
But why there's no blood around the dead medic in the first picture?

 

It might have been dead for a while.

 

I think the green stuff on the overlord might be the animation for the overlord getting hit by a turret. I mean, you can see two more missiles heading for it in the screen shot, so I figure the overlord already got hit once.

I don't think it is. How would a missile be able to hit on the other side, were there is a green blob too? Also, they are very precisely placed out, so to say. They don't look like random damage marks, they look like parts of the actual Overlord.

 

I think the orange cloud around the zerglings are actually zerglings on flame.(SCORCHING ZERGLINGS!) Perhaps a new firbat ability? Like throwing molotov cocktail bombs?

 

There is no Bats in that picture, so it is either Dark Swarm or a new Thor ability.

 

I say it's a new napalm upgrade for the bombard ability. The thor is in bombard mode and is facing the area that the fired area is on.

 

There are no Zerg casters either so by that logic it can't be dark swarm It could be a Firebat ability that deals damage over a period of time and the unit was killed right after using the ability. But it doesn't even look like dark swarm because that should be evenly spread out to protect everything in a circular area. It looks more like fire, so it's either Thor or Firebat.

 

Thor is already overpowered. Come on! look at its bombardment on the planetary fortress in the vid!
It has to be Firebat's.

Yeah.. I was just drooling like crazy when i saw those zergs exploding with green blood. Made me so hungry..

 

Zerg blood is red. The green goo and the cloud is the venom the Baneling contains. You need to catch up on things, man

The "fire" is next to the border of the screen, and a defiler could be anywhere, compared to a short ranged Firebat. So, it's either Dark swarm or Thors new ability.

 

It could also be burrowed. But there's no point in casting dark swarm there now is there? Marines are chopping them up further up the ramp.

However, I still say dark swarm should look different. These are clearly flames.
