    You bet. When those newbs come in with their fleets of BCs, I will have massed probes and pylons. My only fear is Tom Cruise riding his Zerg Pony, that utterly defeats the probes, as Tom Cruise's Zerg Pony's pretty hooves can easily trample the Zerglings.

    yeah you cant beat him, nothing's impossible with tom cruise =/
    but like, P&P probes&pylons that sounds sweet
    should counter M&M as well just because P&P sounds better

    Also when the probes aren't busy throwing the pylons they can get on top of them and do their famous, kinky "prism tease dance", while waving their mining wielding lasers around to sexually tease the Reavers.

    i think it would be cool if more pylons meant more power to the structure
    ex: 1 pylon makes phase attack 10, but 3 pylons increases damage to 15
    ex2: 1 pylon make warpgate go at 1x normal speed, 3 pylons make go 1.5x normal speed

    Do you know how extremely unbalanced that would be? A Protoss player could just stack up a ton of pylons everywhere and they'll have faster and stronger buildings. Pylons neither take up supply, cost that much resources, or even take up much space, so it'll be abused a lot.

    First there is a fixed radius of the power field given off by one pylon second they can always limit the boost to 2 additional pylons so anything over 3 only gives you redundancy.

    Zerg swarm clutches get range boosts from shriekers and Terran reactor add-ons give a secon build queue so why not give the protoss some boost?

    @BoP: Reactor doesn't give you a second queue anymore, just lets you queue up ten units at once, according to Jon. Also I'm pretty sure the shrieker bonus doesn't stack up.

    Besides, most people use multiple pylons for each building. Even two bonuses are a lot, unless they're really small. And if they're really small, they might as well not be there at all. I'd say one moderate bonus for an additional two pylons, if at all.

    Indeed. If you are queuing so many then you should just make more production buildings.

    I think it is a mistake. I believe what Jon said was you get a second queue so you can queue up 10 units but they will be split across 2 queues

    Arent the Sc2 queues 7 units anyway?

    I like the idea.
    Its also a good stratagy, since it would take more time to power down the buildings.
    For the benefits, just make the buildings build units faster and warp faster.

    This is just a great idea. :good:

    And if a pylon is destroyed you can use a phase prism to replace it. :)

    This would be abused to the point of being imba. I could see the base of a tos player trying to fit two lons to each gate. I guess it would open up good potential raids. I still think that its unnecessary.

    Hmm... I could swear I read him say it didn't give you an extra queue. I could have been hallucinating tho.
