Pheonix isn't doing much AA, neither are the other ones, we need a Corsair type unit, or equip Pheonix with a Laser Blinker like the Corsair, or make it shoot Dragoon Phase Balls.

I like very the Corsair at most like I its funky Neutron Flare some discotheque rain over the Overlords shoot. It is so merrily in addition, much nerving if one zerg is.
I am the opinion that the protoss needs a kind of dark Corsair, because otherwise they do not have Splash Damage air unit.

Isn't the Phoenix RoF the same as the Corsair?

Dark Corsair? the Corsair was a Dark Templar craft anyway.
    RoF?
I think they should come up with a cool mechanic where you can add a unit or something to the Phoenix

I voted for "Remove the Mothership." It is a cool unit, and the idea of using the planet cracker that was in one of the original Starcraft CS's sounds like a ton of fun, but the unit seems really awkward and out of place. I personally want the Arbiter back (with somehing other than recall, of course).

The Corsair RoF was around 2-3 shots a second (really friggin' fast). From what I've seen the Pheonix's RoF seems to be 1 shot every 1~1.5 seconds (much slower). That sounds just fine to me, assuming my understanding of the damage calculations is correct - According to sc2Armory.com, Pheonix attack is as follows - Damage: 5, Attacks: 2, so 10 damage per firing cycle, right?

Correct but on the Phoenix's RoF it fires one set of shots, then has something close to 0.5 cool down/charge up and fires a volly of 3-4 sets then cools down after that

I like the new phoenix and because they named it after the departed phoenix I think it will stay. it is a good way to combined the scouting ability's of the scout and the AA of the corsair. I will miss the field too but I think even if people think mutas will be able out maneuver overload the phoenix will be a surprisingly good unit.

Remove the mothership! for Tassadar's sake the mothership is the most un-protoss like unit I have ever seen. I dont want a superunit or anything similar like that. :(

Corsair was shooting once every 8 frames (24 frames = 1 game second fastest speed)

And it depends on damage and speed of game. And it has a wider range of attack (All around, not just in one dirrection in a tiny little radius).
