That's correct. I've been in every Blizz closed beta since Diablo II, and they always let the community share their experiences after the Alpha.

How come WarCraft III beta videos are so rare now?

 

Hey guys, i'm trying to sign up for the beta, but they need for me to have 1 game registered. I have a legit battle cdkey in which I've installed Starcraft ages ago.... I don't have the cdkey written down and I cannot find it in the registry and none of the cdkey grabbers work for 1.16.1 , (all are for 1.16.0 and before)

help!

I swear my head almost a splode today after i read this... And the new models are FTW woulda like the separate pools though. Meh, beggars can't be choosers!

 

I like the new spawning pool and queen much better than the old ones. They just have a more slimy textured and organic feel to them that just feels right for the art style of the Zerg.

@REF, do you still your cd-cases for the original Starcraft lying around somewhere? because the cd-key should be on that and I still have mine from 7-8 years ago when I purchased it, other than that all I can tell you is buy a new one and try to keep up with your stuff better. Since it seems you have tried all other options so far.

I would look them up for you, but I guess you have become quite good at that. You know, with your search for all those obscure Starcraft 2 videos.

 

REF, have you tried to get a depatcher? You should be able to get one fairly easy, a lotof mods come with an option to depatch to whatever version is needed for the game, from their try your key grabber.

When I'll be at home I register to the beta, but being from Belgium, I think I'll have to wait a long time before be choosen.

Will there be regions in which the Opt-In won't be allowed. I know that most contests had some regions restrictions. For instance the Vespene Laugh was not taking any participants from Quebec Canada for legal reasons. Will it be the same restrictions for the Beta, I looked a bit in those little characters you agree and never read, but haven't been able to find anything.

 

So is the beta Multiplayer strictly, or is AI included??

I'd say the beta will include some AI.

 

I'm sure that ai also needs extensive testing, so why not? Feedback on how the ai is going to react to thousands of different players... I think that would be a lot better to have that, then just to have the ai tested only by in-house Blizzard testing teams.

 

I wonder if they'll have a demo for SC2 like they did SC1. There was a nice little bit of story line in the SC demo that preluded the actual game. Or maybe the beta might just be the demo. Who knows?

 

The demo typically comes after the game is released and the campaign itself is put in disc form with the expansion. If history proves true, then the beta will not be the demo.

 

Im digging the new models. I wonder if they will unveil further changes to models?

 

When I registered for the beta like we all did, I realised I could add many blizzard games to my account. But I could not add in my Warcraft 2 battle.net edition or Diablo 1. Though I still have the original serials for them, no go. Why not blizzard? Can you still play those old games on Battle.net?
