New concept Idea I like to see = Galactic Map

the dark templar had been there for many many generations. The khala protoss from auir (all of which were born there considering their lifespan is hundreds of years so any khala protoss warriors would not be born on Shakuras as they would only be 10 years old at the most) would not consider shakuras their homeworld for two very important reasons.
    1) They were born on auir, that is their home, that is what they consider their home. they would not just say "well, we lost that planet but hell we've got this one so it is our new homeworld."
    2) On the starcraft 2 site it says that the protoss warriors are pissed that they lost auir and intend to reclaim it.

I've just remembered that Braxis is actually quite a far distance from Tarsonis. Duran informed Kerrigan something along the lines of the Psi Disruptor's signal has travelled deep through space and has reached us here on Tarsonis. So the PD is on Braxis and if its signals have to travel "a long distance" to Tarsonis, meaning they are far away from each other.

I'm not too sure where abouts Korhal is, but it could also be quite a distance from Tarsonis.

As far as I know, Char and Aiur and Shakuras are VERY far apart from each other. They are all located on the edge of the Kropulu Sector. Hence Warp Gates and Worm Holes are favoured to travel between those planets.

SirBaron made the topic chapter summary that is very useful in keeping track of the location of the story. I'll put up my little summary here.

E1 - Planet Mar Sara overruned. Mengsk came to the rescue on Mar Sara. Planet Antiga Prime openly revolted. Duke rescued on a planet. Attack on Tarsonis's space platform. Antiga Prime overruned as confederates launched an attack. Tarsonis overruned by Zerg, and Protoss joined in the battle. Kerrigan kidnapped on Tarsonis's platform. Raynor makes an escape.

E2 - Cerebrate with the chrysalis(captured Kerrigan) escapes from Tarsonis to Char via a platform. Infested Kerrigan borns on Char while Jim attempts to rescue. Kerrigan attacked fake Tassadar. Zasz got killed on Char. Eradication of Dark Templars continue on Char. Cerebrate goes to Aiur to prepare for the invasion. Invasion of Aiur successful as Overmind inplanted itself there.

E3 - Defending Antioch from zerg. Killed a cerebrate but was reincarnated. Battle on Scion. Fenix died. Aldaris + executor travels to Char's platform, rescues Tassadar. Players joins Tassadar on surface of Char and enters an installation which then rescued Zeratul. Everyone returns to Aiur and the Conclave vs Rebels continues, Tassadar captured and rescued. Zeratul truely killed cerebrates, Tassadar killed Overmind.

I'll do Brood War next time :p

I never said Char was the Zerg homeworld. (In spite of the Earthicans believing so ;))

As for the do not mention other games remark by our dear beloved moderato, I simply used C&C as an example of such a map concept having been used before... :)

Planet Braxis is located in the Protoss Sector, somewhat near Aiur. In the Brood War mission where you recover the uraj crystal on Planet Braxis, Zeratul gives strong hints that some battles during the Aeon of Strife occurred on Braxis, and Protoss Technology had not been fully evolved during that time period.

ummm...here's an idea! how about we cease to argue and nitpick about mundane details and minor word choice? paragon if homeworld is not the right word then what word should be used?

I'd like to see the galactic map (great idea, btw ) integrated into the menu of SC2 - I always loved the interceptors going on in the background for single player and the black hole (was that what it was?) for Exiting

haha you can combine both of definition being that a homeworld is where the race's earliest ancestors originated from AND the planet where the majority of the population of the race currently resides. Cause really if it is where the earilest ancestors were, the it is prolly where the majority of the population is unless a catastrophe happened and they had to move into a new planet.

Like Earth is the homeworld for the terrans.
