    sorry man, take some more english classes then try this idea again, I'm not quite getting what you have written. But, from what i do understand, I would say y[our idea is cool, but just wouldn't really fit in SC2 as far as balance goes.

    Quoting a starcraftwikki info on the BC.

    Befitting their role as warships, the basic battlecruiser armament consisted of multiple heavy laser cannon capable of engaging all manner of air and ground targets, with thick NeoSteel armor providing protection. A complement of nuclear warheads was often carried for tasks such as orbital bombardment, although the recent development of the Yamato Cannon allowed more accurate targeting.[1][2]

    The battlecruiser could also act as a carrier, deploying marines planetside with dropships or launching starfighters to support itself in a fleet action.[3][4]

    In times of relative calm the intimidation and deterrent value of battlecruisers helped to keep the peace, while on campaign high-ranking officers found them useful as command ships.

    I wanna emphasize on the nuke warheads, carrying small starships and marines, all traits that current battlecruisers do not posses, i think its an interesting angle for these flying giants.

    actually it does possess the nuke, the yamato is a concentrated nuke explosion

    And a Mothership has 5 times the carrying cpacity of a Battlecruiser and can glass a planet on its own whats your point?

    The reason these units can't completely follow their lorewise abilities is they would become absurdly expensive and powerful.

    but how about make a Ultimate unit ( 1 per match) like in Warhammer 40k.
    so Terran get a Massive BC ( yamato, plasma array, fighter&transport hangar, orbital bombardment, etc.)
    Protoss get a Big City Ship like in stargate Atlantis, (normal attack, passive cloak field, launch interceptors, etc)
    and Zerg get a production upgrade like half cost for all unit

    i just thought its neat to see how big the bc actually is for transport and planetary bombardment and so on it sounded very fun

    Your first one, I get the overall gist of it just some sections don't make sense imo, So I fear i misunderstood your idea. I got something about adding a new powerup for BC to give them some kind of laser thing similar to the collosus where damage increases over time. I don't know maybe i'm just illiterate.

    edit: also there was stuff about having 2 different regular attacks which you can switch to and fro at will.

    Lol. But LordKerwyn is right. If the "big" units would be realistically sized, the Battlecruiser for instance would be many times bigger than the screen. And btw, the number of Marines a Battlecruiser can deploy is about 1000, and it could carry 2 wraith squadrons (total of 24 fighters) within it.

    The Yamato Cannon made carrying Nuclear Warheads obsolete. Battlecruisers of course (if they were real) would be able to carry lots of people and vehicles, bombard more effectively, and be more awesome - but don't forget they have to adapt the concept to a strategy game! Dropships carry units keeping with the idea of a vulnerable transport (makes skill essential), so cross that off the Battlecruiser list. Yamato Gun and Plasma Array are a focused nuke and a bombardment respectively, so cross those off the list. So in actuality Blizzard did a pretty decent job making such a starship into a game unit.

    The game has to be balanced and playable - we can't just make everything a perfect mold of lore. I'm not even going to touch on the super-unit discussion as I have already let my opinion be known multiple times in multiple other threads.

    Thats a good point.

    I wonder if dropships will have any special skill though.

    Phase prisms has the energy field, overlords detect give supply and are cheat so terran is a little shafted if they have no special skill on their transport units

    I think they should transport in some capacity. It wouldn't be taking the place of Dropships for the simple fact that BC's cost about four times as much. They should hold the same amount as a Dropship though, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense.

    Or perhaps, just maybe, give the Drop Pod ability to the BC and not the Ghost, i.e. the pod drops from the BC itself

    Erm, which bit?

    I personally (Heh heh) think the Drop Pod idea is quite good.
