    It says that you can send in a 300 word application to the selected fansites explaining why you should be selected for the SC2 Beta, you need to send it in by 10pm PST April 1, 2009. The owners of the selected fansites can choose the winners.

    I'm confused, do we send it to the fansites (starcraft2forum.org etc) or do we send it to
    sc2beta@gmail.com ?

    Also why is that email a gmail account instead of a Blizzard account? Is this their April Fools joke?

    I send my application, and got this message back:

    submitted for the FSP Starcraft 2 Beta opt-in. Please check your
    e-mail at 10:00 p.m. (PST) tonight, April 1, 2009, for further
    updates.

    What? If all the applications are sent at 10:00 pm (last time for sending), what new information can they give beofre they have read everyone? (unless its just a joke - I hope not :()

    Remember it is a tradition from Blizzard to make an April fool joke. So personaly I prepare myself for a joke.
    Hey, I am used to get a joke or anything related because of this day cause it's my birthday too. The best one I heard : "When your mother said she got you on April the 1st no one believed her because they believed it was a joke."

    Maybe those beta keys are jokes. Because Blizzard is still far from the real beta version (still according to me).

    Don't wanna be pessimistic, but it would be mad, vicious from Blizzard to make such a joke like this.

    As one member mentioned, why a Gmail account than a Blizzard account ? Seems strange all that ....
