Why not just have the Thor morph from a building. Like the factory turns into the Thor. They would be pretty nice. But when the Thor was built on the battle field, he could be destroyed by the enemy. So it is only helping out the Thor is staying alive longer.

And even if it was just as big today: It doesn't matter. Dustin said that the Thor 'is so big it has to be built on the battlefield' because it fit the game mechanic they were trying out - not the other way around. His statement was just a cool and fitting reason.

No offence, but you have no idea what you're talking about. Your scenario is ridiculous. You throw in a couple numbers and blindly claim it's unbalanced. It's like saying a Protoss player with 10 Starports can make 10 Carriers instantly, 'cause they could have a couple thousand min/gas lying around - which would be oh so unbalanced.

You will only have to cue Thors if you have less Factories than Thors being produced. Just how, with the old SCV mechanic, you had to cue Thors if you had less SCVs assigned to constructing Thors than Thors being constructed. The SCV and the Factory work the same in this example, you can't say that moving Thors to the Factory hinders a Terran player from making several Thors simultaneously , since you can have several Factories at a time, all producing Thors.

Your example of a Terran player with ridiculous amounts of resources mass producing Thors with SCVs works just as well with 10 Factories.
