One time, I was playing as Zerg on a fastest map with some allies, and, of course, I scouted with my Overlord. When I flew it over one of the enemy bases, they said "no, stop" and then a few seconds later they left. This has actually happened to me several times.

What do they think an Overlord is, anyway?? A heavy-assault flying supply depot??

I was VSing my Protoss friend (the three Starcrat friends I have each are one of the races, I'm the 2nd Terran) for practice and since I've played many games with him, I know he doesn't rush or harass early.

He likes going all Zealots until he gets Templar going. I manage to stack 12 SCVs and go attack.
I do this several times until I finally killed off enough of his Zealots and somehow a Gateway to force him to leave.
He calls my cell phone after the game and simply says, "That was the most retarded thing I've ever seen" then hangs up.

Good thing he's not actually mad. Just a bit annoyed.

i was playing toss vs toss with 5 min no rush

5 minutes later, he attacked me, and i only had 4 zealots compared to his dozen. needless to say, i lost

i microed a dragoon to take out two zealots though, that was fun

The reason I wasn't using Marines was because I just kept sending 12 SCVs at a time until the first twelve died then the replacement group came in.

When it comes to noobishness I have my fair share to offer. This brings back memories in 1998 when I first played starcraft. So here it goes:

    When I use Protoss
    - mass photon cannons, and over-dependent on cannons
    - didn't know high templars don't have an attack
    - thought a probe needs to stay there for warping buildings
    - didn't know what a reaver does (cos I did't know it needed scarabs)
    - mass scouts

    When I use Terran
    - thought bunkers can attack by themselves without marines
    - didn't realise there's such thing as "add ons"
    - mass wraiths

    When I use Zerg
    - didn't know what the overlord does, I thought the creep colony gives unit supply
    - didn't know all units comes from larva from the hatchery, so I built 3 spawning pools and 3 hydralisk dens
    - thought hatcheries can only be built on existing creep

But thank goodness, I did all these when playing single player, I was still learning how to play. I actually never did any of these stuff on multiplayer.

mc2, I remember doing some of these myself too when I started.. like the creep colony one... or massing photon.. however I didn't start starcraft too young.. so I wasn't that bad.

well... one silly thing that i can remember was when i was playing 1v1 pvt on ride of valks, and i try to high temlar drop his main. he sees my shuttle so he sends like 6 vultures under my shuttle so i can't drop. i move my shuttle back, drop down my ht, then storm all his vulutes and kill like 4 of em. then i go to storm his scvs but it wasn't very succesful. most of them fled.

I didn't figure out how to mine gas with Zerg and Protoss. Terran I had no problem cuz they automatically start gathering gas, but I had no idea how to do it with the other races.

I just remember my exprience first time i played (the mistakes i made easily outrank my orignal post in this thread) It was the training mission and i lost it... well not really lost the mission i just quit after about 10 minutes.. why? beacause i couldn't figure out how to mine gas and i just clicked on the vespane gas site over and over again wondering why nothing was happening and soon i got bored and sent my marines to kill as many of the scattered zerglings on the map as i could but instead they ended up dead beacause of my horrible micro...... Then i quit the mission and went onto the zerg missions i ended up quiting again beacause i thought overlords were the zerg ultra powerful unit and send a fleet of about 29 of them into the terran base (you can guess what happened). It was quite some time before i even tried playing sc again.....
