Hmm, never managed to pull that one off.

It's really intense. I had like 20 wraiths flying around killing any air things that tried to get close. In the end half my base was burning, there were no units left inside the base, and half of the missile turrets were destroyed.

I had a game once, ZvT, all that was left was my entire base surrounded by spores and the enemy had a single battle cruiser left. There was no mineral left on the map and we were both exhausted of resources. The game ended with the BC yamatoing every single one of my 15+ spores. I had a nice chat with him though lol, I was hoping the entire time that he would get bored and just leave.

    lol......

nice one paragon. i havent done it on a non-money map but that must be hard. not sure about station arrest though. ive done it on bgh once but it was only about after 20 attempts. corsairs nearly always disrupts my tanks and when even one happens then im gone. and i didnt use the cheap worker-lure comp tactic either.

station unrest is actually a pretty unfair map in some respects. Two people are on high ground the rest aren't. the two on high ground have one entrance (albeit quite far from their base) and the other have two closer entrances. Luckily I was on high ground.

Don't you find it funny when your opponent seems to overanalyze things and forget fundamental tactics like having available detectors all the time?
I was playing with someone from Bnet, I was Terran, he's Protoss. Frequent scans of his base revealed no Observatories. His only means of detection were photon cannons protecting the ramp where he's at. Long story short, I took out his cannons with 3 nuclear strikes, and beat him with 12 Ghosts he can't even see.

Haha serves him right. Though it's so much sweeter as Protoss using dark templar cause they do a lot more damage especially to buildings.

It's a bigger mockery and much more insulting to lose to just a bunch of ghosts. They do less damage than workers against buildings.  That's laughing stock material.  Good job good job.

thats true. and they just have to sit there helplessly while there are slowing torn apart bit by bit. most people would probably just leave.

I was totally about to do this topic. Coalescence would read my mind! Anywho...
My favorite experience in SC1 happened during an online 4v4 BGH game. (This was wayyyy before Fastest or whatever and even before Broodwar came out) I was the zerg and the game was tied with there players a piece. This was a version of BGH without bulked up minerals so everyone had expanded all over the map but by the end there were no resources left. This meant that everyone had to conserve their minerals and their units. Eventually we won but I remember being down to a few guardians and mutas. It was rough!

The "version of BGH without the bulked up minerals and gas" is called The Hunters. It's actually a nice map. Big Game Hunters make a mockery out of it.

Oh, that's right. Wow, that was a long time ago. You forget about stuff like that when all that you see on Bnet these days is BGH and Fastest.

BTW, sorry this is off-topic, but is there a place where you can download maps like Luna, Hunters, Blood Bath, etc.?

I prefer to play maps with limited money. They add more of a challenge to it because you need to expand and fight for expansion sites.
