StarCraft Ghost... where did you hear/read/see it was replaced by StarCraft 2 permanently?

Well, I heard that SC2 took place 4 years after Brood War, and to did Ghost. And Blizzard said they've stop working on it for a while (forever), then the intoduce SC2, so i think they replaced Ghost with SC2.

Lol, okay I see where you're coming from... it does make me wonder about the storyline, especially since I heard StarCraft: Ghost was intended to make the storyline move smoothly between the games, or some such thing (damn, that should've been enough of a hint for me that StarCraft 2 was coming! But ah well)... and if StarCraft 2 will come first, then there'd be no need for that storyline smoother anymore... except if they intend to publish the games in reversed order (ie. with StarCraft: Ghost you'd be like "oh that's why ... in StarCraft 2!"), or if they meant it would smooth the storyline between StarCraft 2 and... World of Starcraft!

Okay okay or StarCraft 3 or whatever... =P

Personally, I dreaded the idea of a Starcraft MMO because of the monthly payments... I hate those payments, so I probably wouldn't have played it and would have missed out on a bunch of the story and... crap... :-[ I think they WILL release it in another 10 years. Anyway, Starcraft isn't hero-based, it's more mass-unit based so there can never be a single unit/hero strong enough to actually kill many, many enemies. Resurrection is another issue because in Starcraft, once dead, always dead. Protoss are transplanted into Dragoon bodies before they die, so they don't count. So there's no realistic way of actually bringing you back to life once you die. It would be like playing Diablo II Hardcore all the time (playing D2 HC was one of the most paranoid periods of my life...)

I hate MMO's because most of them require a credit card; and credit cards are hard to come by when you're 13.

Really? World of Warcraft didn't require one though... unless if like my bf you need to restore your account after something went wrong with it... right?

No, I believe World of Warcraft does require a credit card number of you, when you first sign up for it. Even the trial edition you receive when you buy a Blizzard product requires one, so they can manipulate you by sending you an email that says, "You must play our game and subscribe to us for the rest of your life, or else we will charge you tremendous fees, Thank You."

When new Starcraft games are released, they might have something thatt will alow them to be somewhat resurrected. A protoss invention that fell into the hands of the Terran, and the Zerg larva can Transform into anything that is in the giene pool, maby your dead player for instance.

Lol, taht still isn't really resurresction, it's more along the lines of cloning. And if larva could just simply morph into Kerrigan then why not an army of Kerries?

Maby its because Zerg are mindless bugs. Or that they didnt add Kerrigan into the geine pool. She had to be created in a certain way, from phicic (however you spell it) human, into cocoon, into infested terran.

Maybe humans had some sort of psychic resistance to the mind-controlling of the Zerg Overmind, and Protoss had so much that they couldn't even be absorbed at all.

Warcraft is more focused on Heros and Magicks.

Starcraft is military or brood. Individual training doesn't seem normal.

    "Oh! I'm level 23! I'm a SGT now! I have a Gauss Rifle ver. 20!"
    See? Doesn't really work....

Zerg: "KA KA AKA KA KA KA KA KA!!!" Translation: "I just got mutated from a zergling to a.... Baneling...*boom*, I died."
    This is even worse.

I'm glad it's a full fledged RTS sequel but if they make it an MMO I would drop WoW in a heart beat. I've always like sci-fi better than fantasy.

Well even though fantasy will always have a place in my heart (especially since i write it too), Sci-fi is just the genre i like the most. And that's Starcrafts fault.

If i got to pick between WoW and WoStarcraft, i would pick WoS, but i'd rather not see WoS since roleplaying is harder to pull off with Sci-fi than fantasy. Also, Starcraft has always been about:
so taking that away would seriously take away the fundamental part of the game.
