if you see it moving it is plasma, if you don't it is laser

peple lets get 2 the original topic. Terran shudnt have lasers OR plasma OR da electric gun-thing - they shud have missiles/bullets/artillery shells 4 ground unit attaks and 4 air unit anti-ground attaks. 4 air unit AA attaks they shud hav lasers.

I disagree with you. The terran can launch missiles and lasers. And as the terran are highly "technologized" we can understand that they use lasers. Did you know that a military laser has been built ? But it is far less powerful than the terran lasers. But as SC is 3000 years younger than today the technology got time to progress. SC will happen in 3000 years.

Actelly SC happens in 500 years, not 3000 (look at wat it says on da opening pictur be4 boot camp). and i never said the banshee shoots lasers.

Anyway... I agree on the aesthetic look of the Viking missiles. Needs a change.

 

It makes perfect technological sense to use lasers in sc2. Military researchers are already researching laser weapons at the present, and I don't see how developing a laser weapon can take more than 500 years.

Also, lasers have several advantages over missiles. Even though they don't home in on targets, the target is hit almost immediately after the weapon is fired. They cannot be intercepted either.

 

I'm sick of Terran ships having pew-pews. Other than the BC, they should keep it to a minimum.

Hope they change the viking air attack soon.

As for this whole Missiles not Lasers debate, i dont see why the terrans wouldn't use Lasers, i mean, it's much more advanced than your standard missile and would no doubt be more effective at killing things.

 

I think it should kinda be like this ,

Laser's for infantry and light vehcles and air unit's

Missle's for heavy vehcles and air unit's.

 

or they could just make the viking use its double machine guns to engage ground targets while in fighter mode

 

Or we could just leave things the way it is because no matter what, everyone's Terran.

 

Banshee is nice enough... too bad it seems that the rockets don't always hit the target
