    This is retarded, we need medics to keep marines and marauders alive on the front lines vs zealots.

    How will stimpack be viable without medics?

    This will not last

    A dropship that heals would be useless. The only time it would be used is on a retreat and who the hells gonna waste time to save six marines from dieing Especially that far in the game? Who's gonna have an army of marines that far in the game? No this wont last, the medic will be back very soon.

    A Reaper/jetpack Medic would be so cool. I mean, I can't think of any situations where it would be much more useful than a normal Medic, but... shield+jetpack+thick white armor = cool.

    As for the Medivac Dropship, I... I hope its heal ability can be used n units outside of it. Though I agree that making it land or something would be a nice touch. It would grant mobility over long distances, but reduce mobility when it is deployed. Some other abilities on top of that would be nice, too.

    I'm not too sure about this idea. It's a cool concept but it's one of those things that might not work out right. Terran early game is significantly nerfed and it only starts to pick up at mid-game. Until then they have to play on the defensive. No more M&M rushes. The usefulness of the Dropship depends on how they heal. If it's only for units inside the Dropship, it's not as useful since it's eight units at the most. Unless it doesn't cost energy, it's not that great. And there's the added risk of a Dropship being destroyed while units are still in it, which makes it less effective. Meh, why do I care? I'm a Zerg player now.

    I'm not sure how this is going to work out in the end so therefore, I will reserve my judgement until it's actually presented to us in detail.

    However, I would like to point out that Blizzard is merely testing out all different kinds of combination. What they have today will probably be different compared to a week later. So no need to put on the panic button. Because if it really doesn't work out, Blizzard will revert back to the old and beloved Medics. :) However, I do see some potential in this mechanism.

    I don't get why Medics were cut/replaced/moved just because Reapers could outrun them. Reapers aren't supposed to be in a position where they'd need fast Medics. Seriously, why would you charge the enemy with your Reapers out in front, leaving the rest of your army behind? Medics were just as fast as Marines, and didn't need to be any faster. If your Reapers are getting shot up out in front, just run them back.
    Could another solution to this be giving Medics Stim Packs? Obviously it wouldn't increase their healing rate or anything, but it'd increase their speed, just in case you do get into a silly situation with your Reapers or something.

    reapers are backdoor/side assult units. You shouldnt expect them to be alive after an attack...
    so yeah..why cut medic? medic should only be with marauders and marines...

    The funny thing is that they supposedly changed medic for medivac so it could keep up with reapers, but no one uses reapers anyway ;p

    I'm not positive, but I think that the Reaper is produced at the Barracks. The Merc Haven is just a prerequisite for it, just like for the Science Facility was (is?) a prerequisite for the Ghost.

    I think it will be weaker, as non bio as some protoss units cant be affected by the Marauder. I really hope the medics come back, they may scrap the reaper if they just bring her back!
