No, that's just not Starcraft. Especially tanks running over units.

it's meant to be pointless, it'll look cool and reduce army clutter and path finding collisions.

if you really want you can upgrade the siege tank to equip it with an extensible ladder which allows marines to go up cliffs.

Wow. Now I think you're just taking it too far.

Why don't you appeal to Blizzard to make other, useful, cooler mechanics rather than mounting marines?

That just makes it sound homo.

Hi, wanted to ask: don't those blade-knife thingis make marines kinda lame-looking? like they've got somtn sticking out of them that kinda dont belong, :-\ What use is blade anyway in the space-war-SciFi-game like SC? :-\ ;D ;) if they still want to keep it in game though, think it should be better replaced by side-knife or smtn. instead (they gave them shields, so why not swords? ;D;)), anyway anyone comment on this?cheerz ;)

--uhhmm can u post a pic on that blade thing your saying??
--if they got blades then maybe thats what they use for disassembling their army suits ^_^
--shields aids defense swords give offense.. what can we say about this? well somehow it helps the marines live a little longer obviously but i think it also gives a compatible relation with the use of stimpacks to negate a lil damage penalty

yea i agree with him. it looks HORRIBLE. this is the future, give him at least neon lightsaber bayonets or something. Accually that would look horrible as well. keep the gun take off the bayonet. How stupid would it look to see a marine thrusting a gun into some zerglings. It's like. AHHH!!! I'M SHOOTING WILDLY AND BEING CLAWED! It's very terran.

all l33t sci-fi humans have knives, we have already had guns since the 1300's and we still put bayonets on rifles, what makes you think its going to change lol.

Yeah , i get all that bout (BTW thanks 4 reply ;)) the close-range combat advantages and i agree that marines need somtn to be better equiped for confrontations with all those melee-units, otherwise they'll be too vulnerable but those bayonets look as really cheap solution as you can dig-up. Just coz they've been used used througout the history doesn't make it perfect nor elegant part of war-equipment. Warfare and weaponory always evolve with time to better suit the needs of units, be more efficient and suit the best the very purpose they're built for.( like so many other things do), it's kinda unlikely that all that military could cook-up by the time of zerg and protoss showdown, is an rediculously looking, old-school thing that worked well during close-combat in WW1!!!.(BTW they've given marines those high-end suits to better protect them, so that looks like evolved. But innovations in weaponory seem kinda pointless then? let's just give them those bayonets, tha'll aid them facing Ultralisk or that tiny looking Colossus ;D ;)).I don't know what i was expecting, but comeON, a little more creativety would be nice. Smtn like those Dawn of War assault-space-marines have at least (for the lack of imagination). lol ^_^ ;D

chainsaw swords are cool, but i think the bayonets are enough. Putting one of those in a zealots eye should be quite efficient. Altough i think a spray of bullets coming out of a machinegun into a zealots eye is more efficient.

If you go up against a zealot or zergling with nothing but a bayonet, you might as well shoot yourself in the head first. That's how dumb and pointless it is.
