You don't need to quote me if I posted directly above you.
Basically, increased armour reduces the damage of the attack. The more health a unit has, then the more times they can be hit before it dies, and consequently, the more times the damage will be reduced, and it will be able to take a larger percentage of damage.
If a unit has a very low amount of health, then the armour will not have as many chances to reduce the damage taken, and the unit won't be able to take such a large percentage of extra damage.
In short, it's more beneficial to give units with low amounts of health more health than armour, and units with high amounts of health more armour than health.

The new shields looks so much less gaudy, I love it.

In fact, do they still get bayonets with that shield upgrade? Looks as though they still do, but have they changed them at all?

Were they ever actually supposed to be for use? I thought that they'd always been for show.

I've had the same thought as everyone else, whats the point of the bayonets if the marines don't have a meele attack. Its not necessary.

All that matters, is we were complaining about the wc3 cartooniness of SC2 ages ago, and this means they genuinely litsen to the communities. That alone is worth the price of admission in my eyes, so to speak.

I think Blizz is going about this the right way.
