Very interesting, it's works like this that are a combination of "factual" comparisons combined with fanart. Here are some points :

1) Having searched google image for "siege tanks" ..most of the official and unofficial art depict siege tanks are monstrously large. To me, siege tanks are all about firepower, not nessecarily about being large and able to "tank" damage. I'd say it's basically a very high-tech artillery piece, but o well. In my SC universe, siege tanks would be 25% smaller than you have depicted.
2)Zealots to me are large (9 foot plus) warriors. In your picture, they look barely larger than a human. It'll be hard to explain how 1 zealot can kill a siege tank (but yeah it's a game)..so we have to balance between realism and fun.

i think siege tanks are HUGE! even todays' tanks are huge making it 25% smaller will make it almost as the size of the present tanks.

yah zealots are tall.. well as you can see their at the back.

i actually move them besides the marines just to compare before placing them at the back.

well that marine on the pic is 6'5" i assume and that make the zealot 2.5 feet taller. =)

 

I think what Zeratul11 have for the size of the siege tank isn't too far off. You have to consider that the siege tank goes into siege mode, with all the different parts moving and sticking out and whatnot. With all of that, there needs to be room inside that is not effected by all the moving parts and fits a whole tank crew.

Not to mention the siege tank's cannon is the longest firing weapon in all of SC. If the tank was any smaller, the cannon would just break off like a toy after one shot.
