    I just don't get why lan is considered to be superior to Bnet.
    Lag?
    Who's still got AOL as an ISP these 11 years since SC first came out?

    EDIT: Sorry Fenix, some how skipped reading your post...Why not try Net Zero then? (Read the sig punk :p )

    I've got lag through Bnet cause Qwest is a whiney little ***** and adverts speeds of up to 1.5mbps in my area which translates to about 900kbps split between 4 computes, an Internet enabled weather station, and a Wii.

    I've got no lag and crazy far range through LAN because I use N speed products.

    Fenix: I have trouble believing that your lag on b.net is caused by lack of bandwidth. SC1 was written to run smoothly on a 56k connection- and it certainly uses much less than that. The code behind SC1's multiplayer is over a decade old, and has weird issues in all kinds of situations.

    My bet is that if you upgraded your service to something with more bandwidth, you would still have lag issues.

    (The next few sentences are no critic Neon, its just some points so other can understand what Fenix hopefully means)
    Yeah, but this probably wont be the same in battle.net 2.0 ;) And therefore LAN is important, where it was important in sc1 because there still was ome delay (something they perhaps can fix) and some "funny" problems like Fenix's.

    I would in a heart-beat...

    I love Blizzard games, but over the years of playing the game(wow)...the only thing getting weary on me is time; lack of something new from Blizzard.

    Sadly, this also at a time influenced me to believe even more delay on Beta or faster testing methods of SCII where put on hold so they could post-pone losing WoW subscriptions for SCII

    Now that theory has many...if not too many plot holes, but at the time...it truly felt real to me. ^_^

    EDIT: To add to the topic - I see a lot of people claim of bad experiences with B.net

    tis this not the reason for B.net 2? To improve it in more then 1 way?

    I could say it'd be flawless, and those that strongly yearn for LAN would say it won't be any different, thus we have to agree that only time will show what truly has changed :}

    Heh, I read them...just appeared most that were on the side of keeping lan always dug deeper into the horrid experiences with out it.

    Yes, yes...text can always be misread or simply under-typed, must every post be a huge block of text, or surly my lesser typed ones more accurate? >_<

    There would be no need for people who play WoW to cancel their account to play on Battle.net 2.0 because it was confirmed it will be a free service or at least I'm pretty sure. I wouldn't ever think of playing WoW even if it was free.
