It's not only the hair; just compare his overall appearance and his voice between the two games.

 

I think if he looked and sounded just the same and everything from Starcraft 1, people would still complain but about there "being nothing new to him" instead.

 

I'm not too sure about sounded, but looks? You need an eye check there buddy, you can hardly mistake them for being twins, at the most VERY distant relatives...

 

Four years of realistic change should be acceptable for anyone. This new Raynor is like a completely different person; his facial structure for starters is not the same.

 

yeah he had some plastic surgery done......... as for sound they did say he drinks alot....... straight up whiskey or scotch can really change your voice..... look at Lawrence Tierney now thats a whiskey voice (he is the voice of the security guard of the mall when bart steals bonestorm in simpsons)

 

I agree on the accent. It seems alot thicker than it was before, also given that the voice sounds alot deeper than it did before that also effects just how thick we find the accent.

 

Keep in mind. If you check Chris Metzen's artwork (the famous artist of Blizz and also the guy who wrote up most of the characters and did most of the storyline) shows raynor full head of hair chillin out on a bike. I can find it if you'd like.

Nope, he wasn't bald, and he wasn't fat either like someone else mentioned. If you look closely you can actually see his hair, it's a military buzz cut. Remember that he was in the Confederate Militia, a marshal to be exact.
And his looks... i mean wtf, it's been 4 years in game of heavy drinking and sobbing over Kerrigan and Fenixgoon.

Ive posted something bout raynors hair on some thread regarding terrans 10yrs of research making use of a brand new genetically enhanced zerg creep substance bio-engineered and replicated its immense capacity to regenerate cells targeted specifically to mans scalp henceforth solving any hair problems like baldness and even those cancer patients suffering from allopecia... ^_^ product specifically developed to regrowth mans hair and solving Raynors tragic bald guy look making him look more manly lol
