I hope Jim looks similar to what he did on SC1 and has the same voice then ill be happy!

What was Valerian's job or position and age in that book and when did that book take place in relation to BW?

 

I just recently read it and I have a weird book condition. I read it once and remember NOTHING.
Again and I can name exact things. I started reading it again and I'm only a dozen or so pages in.

I thiiiiiiiiiink it's between BW and SC2 so it's possible for Valerian Mengsk to pop up a few times or be a main character. He has no real love for his father due to Arcturus' interest in politics.

 

Ah I just found some stuff on Valerian and I think that that picture is most likely him.

 

hmm... very interesting...the fact that he might have a part in the story is very intruiging...btw, who is the mother?

 

It doesn't say. In a flashback at the beginning Valerien just refer's to her as mother.

 

Ah, but it COULD be Stukov! He died, but in a bonus mission that was only available on N64 (which is now available on PC), you had a mission with Raynor and some other random dragoon (I think it was praeton taldarin or something like that) you have to go find Stukov, that was regenerated by his infestation, so you find him, administer nanotech medications to him, free him from his cocoon prison and then take him back to home base, so he's not infested anymore, Tadaaa!

Sadly, stukov was against it, since he sought the "power and clear-sight" coming from his infestation.

But hey, who could stay mad at a guy named Aleksei Stukov, with white short hair and who has a russian accent?

EDIT : Nevermind about the white hair, it's dark grey with some white streaks, which makes the odds even bigger ;P

I looked at the larger picture Lemon supplied and it has about the same head shape as Jim.

Or it could be the smoke in my eyes from being at my uncle's cottage. Mmm firepits.

So I don't really think they look alike... (Yes, I can see thru crappy quality images)

CONS
1st. No monobrow.
2nd. not really the same head shape (SC1 is longer)

PROS
1st. All the above can change with better graphics and artwork.
2nd. There's a BIG chance it's him, if you follow the storyline.

 

yeah i mean have you ever heard of anyone with a unibrow having any sort of importance to anything? no. and raynor is important. so therefore, no unibrow. it's a graphical bug just like the protoss portraits that look like they have mouths (scout, protoss building guy, some others maybe)

it would be cool if that was raynor cause he looks HOT...

I originally thought it was raynor and I still believe it is, but another possibility could be another commander of a fleet from the UED? The picture gives some kind of vibe like "lost but not defeated," and "calm and ready for anything." which is why i think it is still raynor. Just my thoughts...

 

If I was a Marine or worked as one of the lower class units (CANNON FODDER) I'd smoke.

Hell, your life on the battlefield is short enough.

 

I doubt it's a UED commander because they have a more professional look to them

 

why does jim raynor looks old in sc 2 only after 10 years and kerrigan stills looks fresh and hot even she is zerg. is raynor way older than kerrigan when they started becoming friends? if it is, then i dont like their love story. i hope one of them dies without forgiveness and mercy. i love love kerrigan so much and i think shes just too good for him (if he is old and doesn't look handsome etc. haha).

by the way sarah is 27 years old in broodwar, and that makes her 37 in sc2.
how about raynor? anyone know how old he is in broodwar?

 

Maybe the fact that she is zerg makes her stay basically the same physically. Reptiles never look any older after they are matured.

Raynor is 29 at the beginning of starcraft.
