Hey, I just got an idea..

What about a bet?
Purchasable for 100 minerals, 10 available of each bet.
We could have statements like: The Firebat will be in the game.
The Twilight Archon will be able to cast spells.
The Zerg campaign screen will be in an overlord.
You could only have one 'ticket' of a kind, and after the game Starcraft 2 comes out, people with right statements on their tickets would win a certain amount of minerals. There could be many statements, and all won't be true for sure.
Who has a statement, which didn't come true, gets nothing

The idea is quite good and certainly entertaining, but that's quite difficult to achieve and that's way too cheap of a price. This has to get better organized. Plus you have to wait quite a while and we had problems with gambling items before http://www.starcraft2forum.org/forums/index.php?topic=2861.0

 

Now that the holidays are rolling around, I think it is time for a "secret gift" item.

A member could buy this item and "place" another item inside it, then the gift-giver could set a date on which the item inside the gift would unlock. In the meantime, it sits mysteriously in the gift-receiver's account. This may even be an item that can go into people's signatures, so they can show off how incredibly well-loved they are.

 

But then come those emo's who didnt get any gifts...

*sob*

ANYWAY thats a very lovely idea Neon, I would love to see that. It sounds so Christmasy and joyful. It would be great on Christmas to suddenly get an unexpected gift.....Would make this place much more friendlier

 

That's a very good idea. It should be put into the forums. It would be fun to get gifts on christmas and newyears through wrapped gifts instead of the regular item trade.

What about gift cards?

 

I was just thinking about what the first Zerg pets might be, when I came up with a possibly very cool idea.

What if you weren't able to actually buy Zerg pets the regular way, or just some pets, but you would have to buy a larva. To get certain pets, you would then have to give a certain amount of minerals to the larva to let it morph into any Zerg pet you might like.

Or you would have to pay an amount of minerals that is about the average of the cost of all Zerg pets, and if you are lucky, it will hatch into an expensive pet, and if it just turns out to be not your day, you only get a Zergling or something.

What do you guys think?

You're kidding, right? Pets are the units officially released at the site. The first batch will most probably be 1 building and 2 units.

Nice idea there Forsaken, but it might be too much hassle to implement it.

 

by first I didn't mean the ones to appear when zerg page becomes open, just the ones to come before others however long it takes

and I'm prolly wrong but that's different story

i think........no i dont really like it.....but how about a pet larva that wont morph?


but i still like the idea but i think that the larva should cost a lot like 2000 minerals.but also you can buy other pets like zergling or hydralisk's and a larva that wont morph etc. without buying a larva that will morph.i think the use of the morphing larva should be to get 1 pet randomly but that dosent mean that you cant buy other zerg pets.

Currently: no.

If it ever does appear as an item, it would be a collectable and would be rather pricey. However, it would probably sell rather quickly since there are a lot of terran members on this site and others like to buy everything! *cough* JBL *cough*

 

im a collector so il probably buy that nuke collecttable but depending on the price.

 

the larva should be an additional item thats kinda like lottery once more zerg are released.

i would also love a non-morphing larva.

 

Pet... buildings? Just an idea (that probably have been mentioned before) .

 

Nah, you can't keep things that aren't even alive as a pet. (except for zerg building then )
Maybe as collectibles. That would make more sense in my opinion. :good:

 

Maybe not all buildings, but a CC, Nex and Hatchery (collectibles) .

 

and when combined with probes they will increase mineral gather rates
