Yeah. I didn't notice that. And the Thor is also firing its artillery cannons, so probably they are just attacking an enemy base.

Yeah, I think they're attacking something, that's why the idea that these marks represent the radio sound of the player's commands. Like, when ordering a move these would appear on the team leader's transmitter...

I'd like that. But how would you decide, which one is the team leader?

The unit on front. The first one in the group would be the leader (when you select a group).

When you select a group; how would it know which one's in front? It does'nt know which direction you're planning to go.

I think he means the first unit to be selected in a group, which I think is the one most top-left.

edit: What would happen, if you'd select them again? Would the squad leader change, or would it remain as it was?

    That makes sense :p
But wouldn't it just be unnecessary clutter, if a 'random' marine starts to spark a little when you order them to do something. I think that it's just unnecessary.

@ Gasmaskguy: it might not be unnecessary. It actually might help the enemy if he sees that a marine is making a 'noise' and is getting some sort of message from the other player. It means that either: a) you're ambush has been spotted; b) he's changing his tactics; c) his attention is here, and not there, leaving room for you to raid his base while he's busy talking to these marines.

But even if all these reasons sound lame, it does look a little better. I mean, they worried about falling debris, they really are into details...

LOL this radio chatter would serve absolutely no purpose so I don't think they're considering implementing such thing. Do you also want Marines to dance after a kill and swear when hit?

To me it looks to be sparks. Probably could be a damaged animation for the marine, or the marine is being shot at by enemies. Can only be one of the two.

could it be enemy fire? Say another viking, or marine, or reaper or something else.

Although a little off topic, this screenshot is sick, marines + vikings around a Thor look very impressive, it makes the Thor look AMAZING, i hope he can deal more damage with his normal attack though, cuz in the Terran demo he didnt do much damage, or so i thought.

Maybe it is a visual indication that the unit has just used a Stim Pack?

    It's NOT a radio :D
    That was Overlings suggestion.

This is just an indication that stim packs have been used. It has nothing to do with radio's.
