no, i doubt that the recoil of the shots will send you into the air, otherwise it will just knock you backwards every time you fire at some zerglings, and i doubt that, that would be a nice thing to happen.

Well if you look at those guns theyre possibly even bigger than a size of man, imagine the recoil of a bazooka firing downwards continously wouldnt that be enough propelling power? the sizes of the jetpacks are intended to suffice more generally the weight of the armor and weapon than that of the terran reaper himself as he will generally be at a standard weight level.

I really want tony starks custom skin iron-man in there hahaha if not maybe ill just play ACDC back in black

if those bullets have enough power to send you into the air, they would have enough power to blast back a zergling, and besides you dont want those guns to continually fire, they would overheat, and jam after a while, then what happens? you plummet to the ground with NO bullets left and your commander pissed off about you wasting bullets just so you can levitate off the ground, and if you did that in a middle of a battle, then you are in really big trouble because a zergling or zealot is going to come after you knowing that you wont be able to fight back, you dead = one less person to come back to fight again.

But won't the enemy have siege tanks when you get reapers?

But they still shoot further than reapers, so you can't attack the enemy.

And it isn't like Tanks can be everywhere, also note the tank won't do full damage to the Reapers due to them being light armored so use them in big groups for effective use. If they're sieged, suicide like 3 Reapers from different directions and throw mines.

I hope they scrip it so they jump at the very edge of the cliff and not a few feet close to it cuz if that happens it won't be possible to harass from cliff edges as they'd automatically jump; unless the script isn't activated unless you click a lower surface.

You have all got it wrong. Reapers and Siege Tanks are NOT at the same possition in the tech tree. Reapers require Barracks -> Merc while Tanks require Barracks -> Factory -> addon.

Reapers can't stand on top of other units. :p

I follow the news and batches very closely Mike. The Merc Haven needed the Factory, yes, but more recently they changed that to only Barracks. The mobility of the Reaper was somewhat overshadowed by the Viking that a time ago was at the Factory. They were basically at the same tier which made the Reaper useless. But the Reaper is tier 1.5 now, and the Viking is tier 3.

ok, so now terran got 2 ways

-go infantry and get nuke (vs zerg)
-go factory(tank) and starport (viking to counter carrier) (vs protoss)

sound like sc s 's tactic

i would say to get the Ghost's with EMP to help your tanks counter the Immortals, as for air, i think Phoenixes will be more of a problem, but then again they cant hit ground, so maybe Warp Rays.

that's why we need a good GTA at the factory or make the viking shoot air in both air and ground mode

The Thor comes from the Factory, and it's AA attack has good range and should suffice early game. Then when you reach Starport you'll get the Viking, that indeed can shoot air in both forms.

currently, i do not believe that i will use the reapers often even though they do have an effective attack against immortals and workers. I still like the marine and seige tank pairing. One way that i would use the reapers is if it gained an ability that was in Warcraft, taunt. If the reaper could cause all units in an area or even all zerg units in an area to temporarily leave their owners controll and attack to reapers, you could cause the enemy to chase you into your ambush. otherwise i do not like the reaper as of now. I do see the thrown mine as a good idea, or isa that out?
