I think the Protoss do not have the numbers(after being nearly annihilated on Aiur) to conquere Earth.

 

Plus we can sicc the marine from Doom on them.

An invasion of Earth could happen, but that (as most people have noted) could be more of an expansion type Campaign story mode. This is evident as the guys at Blizzard say the UED, and their remnant fleets (with a high possibility of Valkyries being a Star Edit and Campaign unit), will more or less be delegated a secondary mode and be minor players in the SC2 story line...

But yeah. Invasion of Earth wouldn't work, the human race in the starcraft universe is too vast for even the swarm of the zerg.

Yeah if all these FPS game heroes were in the Starcraft universe the humans would easily take down the Protoss and Zerg.

I'd chuck tables/barrels/windows/chairs/fridges/other objects at people with a gun if I had one too.

 

So would I, but in a 1 on 1 match against, say, Master Chief,Freeman would lose provided they use the same weapon set. I mean, it's a scientist in a Haz-Mat suit against an 8-foot tall cyborg.

Actually Gordon Freeman is a fighter. In HL1 and HL2 the most scientific things he did were push a button and plug in some thing. 90% was shooting and clubbing with the crowbar.

Master Chief would lose... All Gordon needs is the overcharged Gravity gun, right click and there you have a lifeless Master Chief ragdoll. Without that he could sprint around for a good while taking chunks out of Master Chiefs armor. The overpowered gauss rifle would own any Banshee or whatever. The only thing Master Chief could do is smash a giant fucking space ship onto Gordon Freeman, in light of that a magical floating portal appears like it always does to get him to safety.

Ah but it's just referring to the beginning of the Terrans.

Every single non UED character (that's human, obviously) that you've seen are descended from those criminals. Earth is just "pure" now except for the possible incarcerated people that were arrested after the carrier launches.

 

UED stands for United Earth Directorate, but that doesn't mean Earth is populated, Earth could just be a symbol, and UED is just a fancy name aimed towards propaganda.

 

So Earth was mysteriously wiped out after the prisoner shipping?
