Immortal cannon look

That's less horrible, but I still don't understand why it was changed from the otiginal model in the first place

It looks a bit better, but I still find the original cannon model to be the best. I know Blizzard likes messing with stuff constantly, but sometimes they need to refrain from fixing what isn't broken.

I much prefer the original cannons. The first change looked far too fragile, and the current ones look like el cheapo futuristic water pistols. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the original design. It looked awesome, and suited perfectly.

With all of the model changes they have done to ALL of the units, it makes me think a few members of the art department have OCD. Let's not even mention the lack of decisiveness about the Thor.

Most toss units are like that, and the Immortal was always shiney

 

This is what the new Immortal cannons look like which is a bit better but i still liked the old unit look but if this is the end product i can't really complain.

 

I think the current cannons look great. The second edition clearly had too fragile cannons but I think they nailed it now. The blue glow is pretty Protossy and I have nothing against them being twin cannons.

 

Now.

It looks proper.

 

I accept with information:if they do the 4x something thingy, the cannons are gonna do like 4- damage, unless they dont put that in,because each extra hit does 1 less damage against 1 armor 2 hits=2 less damage.

 

Both look good to me, Though I prefer the one with four cannons.

 

Immortals total damage/attack is 20 with bonus damage against its preferred target. Does this mean:
4 Cannnons = 5 damage each... not that impressive eh? I say it's much better if they switch it to two.

 

I like original concept art one with the two large cannons. The one with the four small cannons doesn't look right to me aesthetically and looks like proportions with the rest of the unit are off kinda like a T-rex with its stubby little arms but large body.

Two big cannos for sure, at least for the way it attacks right now.

If it did 4x5 damage then the 4 dinky ones, but the bulky 20(+20 vs armored), id say 2 big cannons.

I like the 4 better, gives it the idea of more versatile somehow to me xD.

 

I think we can all conclude that the immortal's cannons are fine now.

 

The two Immortal model emphasizes more of a precision factor with the unit. It actually fits because of the race. However, the Protoss are bringing out the big cannons now, even reviving the ancient war machine the Colossus. So, 4 cannons emphasizes more volleys, which emphasizes the war factor. Either way, they both look good on the Immortal.
