    mobile bunker? why not just get the medivac some bullets....

    For some reasons, I think the idea of a mobile bunker could be implemented in one of the SC2 expansion pack as a new unit.

    I really wanted a unit like that before they revealed all the Terran units. Suited their theme well. But for now, all we can do is pray that there will be some sort of mobile bunker unit as a new unit for the expansion pack.

    Lmao Mobile Bunker? Very unlikely - but thats just my 2 cents - because it looks like an ultralisk then ;)

    That would be a great idea. That unit was perfect. Except it went up against anti-tank units, and Yuri's mind control.

    Before this goes even further of-topic... The idea of a mobile bunker is quite innovative, but it would be better if this sort of unit would appear in an expansion, like ych9 suggested. They just can not change the whole defensive side of the terran race again this close to the beta. It would be to big of a change. And if you make proper use of the salvage ability, -if it still exists, I have been away for a while- then your bunkers already are pretty mobile. :p

    ... Crap. That's pretty good. -hmm, I need to say something smart now- What about normal bunkers that can become mobile by lifting them up and placing tracks under them? For a decent amount of gas of course. -since it is an ability type of thing, not a new building, so no minerals- How about that? It would be a lot more easy to fit that in the current tech tree.

    I say make a vehible like a Bradley in the US army or a half track from WWII so it would have an MG on top and could deploy like 8 infantry units.

    I like my idea of a mobile bunker, I think I posted it once, but that was a long time ago. But anyways, there is a truck type unit that can carry 4 units. You can deploy it, and the units will pop out, and the truck will turn into a wall. The wall would be able to drop into the ground, and be able to turn back into the truck unit. Any units in the truck can shoot out of the truck. But in this case it would be best if the truck didn't turn into anything, but units could shoot out. The unit would be best for hit, and run. The truck would move very quickly. The hit, and run truck is the best for this topic.

    I know, that's what I'm thinking. But not a jeep, a truck. All the units are in the back of the truck. That's what would be prefect for the terran mobile bunker, except it isn't really bunkery.

    how about a mobile command/assault platform, slow, can make mules to repair (cant gather), has an auto-turret built in to it (later can be upgraded to fire rockets at land and air), you can load it with units (10 slots) if the unit is infantry it can attack from the inside, has heavy armor, can be upgraded to have a barracks & factory (without tech lab and reactor) than deploies and train marines and hellions, has a sensor tower. costs 500 minerals and 225 gas, takes up 15 supply and you can only have one

    ps. i'll have a picture soon, sorry for spelling, if you say this is ripped of from a game my reply is *cough* space marines *cough* *cough*

    That sounds really confusing.

    I have a couple ideas though.

    1) make an upgrade that would allow the bunker to lift off like other buildings, can still carry units and acts like a drop ship that has to land to load and unload while in the air, units cannot shoot while in "air" mode, the speed would be half of an unapgraded drop ship and would have an upgrade for the speed of the norMal drop ship.
    (could be used like a drop I my much more anoying, basicly u load a bunch of marines into a couple and put 1 scv in each to repair and then land them in the enemys base. (same landing areas/building areas apply (cannot build on creep)))

    2) Make the bunker like a tank, first mode can move but cannot load troops, when planted down (siege mode) you could load troops in.

    3) The Thor could get an upgrade that would allow the same number of units of a normal bunker, loading them would provide safety and a little extra damge for the Thor. If Thor is destroyed it acts like a bunker and leaves the units sitting where it died.

    I think terrans are already too much defense oriented to be needing this kind of tweak.

    Something very similar already exists, it's called the Planetary Fortress. Lol. Also, having two types of Factories and Barracks causes ridiculous overlap. Also, such a big building wouldn't even fit in most maps.

    As for the whole mobile bunker thing, you can pretty much forget about that now. The bunker already has the extra capacity/turret upgrade. Two upgrades for such a small building is pretty much out of the question.
