I would like SC2 in November 2009

Just so on the day of release you can undo all of your hard work by slothing in front of the computer and not willing to move away for 20 mins to cook a proper meal so it's just junk food stored there the day before release to keep you going.

 

Well what would we do instead, try to have a life?

 

I could see even World Of WarCraft Professional Nerds laughing at the amount of hours I'll put into StarCraft 2 in as short of a time frame as possible upon release. I might just have to buy an at-home Gym before StarCraft 2 comes out or all my hard work will be for nothing

No, I think it will be out towards summer.
November 2k9 is too long.
And besides, you shouldn't think that way.

I wasn't trying to say I want it out late, I was just saying it's a reasonable estimate.

 

The longer it is developed the better the game will be.

 

Yes, but the longer it takes the more hyped up you get.
If SC2 isn't out next year I'll start playing WC3 mods and pretend it's SC2.

Not always the case. ol Vista was horribly delayed and well it got a lot of bad press.
Spore the same. Good yes, great I think so, but SC brilliant. No.
I think Blizzard is different though.

 

Yeah, whenever I say this I usually say something like "This is Blizzard not [insert company like EA]". I've done that in pretty much all of the other topics and I got tired of it so I just said what I said

 

I know many of you think it is impossible, but today I was told (in person) by a worker of game.co.uk store that they received the information from the Blizzard reseller that Starcraft 2 will be released in February 2009.

Game.co.uk website states the release date is 1 February 2009.

I think it is hard to believe, but the guy I spoke to (in a store in London) was pretty sure the Blizzard reseller told them to expect the game in February.

dunno why people are guessing all the way into november... >.<. Did you guys read the interviews where they said they were quite far through?

 

Obviously, they won't wait until November. One of the main reasons (if not the most important one) for making Starcraft 2 a pack of 3 different games was the earlier release of Starcraft 2 instead of making us wait 2 more years for it.

So, it makes no sense that they take one more year to release the game after announcing it will be a trilogy so that it reaches us quickly.


Still, I find it hard to believe that the game will be released in February, but considering we're talking about of the most reputable game stores in the world, it might be true. Also, having been told by the British Blizzard reseller that they would have the game in February, that's not just a hint...

 

A 2- month beta? Are you dreamining?

No, his superior(s) told him to expect the game then (So that he would tell customers that and believe it himself to this end).. not Blizzard. This happens all the time with games that companies want pre-orders for. Don't be a fool and take their word for it when they've been proven to lie time and time again for many years now.

 

I'm hoping that they release SC2 sometime late next year. That way we know it'll be amazing .
