Its only worth it buy a computer when you have little to spend, like under 700 USD.

If you have more than 700 USD to spend, it is well worth it to build yourself..

Well I'm shooting for a 300-400 dollar computer here. Anyone got some reccomendations? I'm planning on playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and starcraft on it. SC wont be a problem at all, but here are the (recommended) specs for BFBC2

Recommended Frostbite PC Specifications for BFBC2
    Processor: Quadcore
    Main memory: 2GB
    Graphics card: GeForce GTX 260
    Graphics memory: 512MB
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Free HDD space: 15GB for Digital Version, 10GB for Disc Version (BFBC2)

Any idea's for a computer, or how much one would cost to fit these needs? I can fluctuate a bit of course in terms of the specs.

EDIT: The minimum is a Dualcore processor, by the by

I dont know if I asked this yet, but as i said I got my old computer. Would it be cheaper just to buy a new hard drive for it and a New OS to install? It's a relatively new computer, I'm just not sure.

damn, so much to replace. the processor is lacking, but it's old enough to the point that you'd need to swap motherboards anyways. might as well get a new system. definitely want to upgrade the video card.

you can easily build a pretty good computer for under a grand.

that's their low-end bang-for-the-buck recommendation. assuming you re-use your monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers, and buy an operating system. i recommend windows 7 64-bit.
