    Weapon Type: Biological-A living extrusion or tumor that gives the infected a damageable weapon. This could allow for some hulkish characters that are all biological, or possibly glands within the throat that allow spitting corrosive acid.

    Custom Mods:
    Self Sustaining - The weapon can provide its own ammo/energy.
    Weapon Stand - The weapon has a stand connected with it to increase stability for rapid fire (if it exists in your game) or it reduces penalties associated with recoil from large weapons.
    Non-Lethal Attachment - The weapon has a place on it to attach a net launch launcher, grappling hook etc...
    Damage Resistant - The weapon is specially designed to reduce to damage done to it by oponents/recoil or overheating.
    Melee Viable - The weapon is equiped with spikes/bayonet/axe head etc... to make it a useful melee weapon.
    Advanced Safety - The weapon is equiped with a special locking mechanism so that only certain people may wield it.
    Defensive Qualities - The weapon is specially designed to double as defensive gear such as a shield.

    Drawbacks:
    Volatile Ammo - The weapon could explode if minorly damage or handled improperly.
    Unwieldy - The weapon is hard to manuever with because it unwieldly in some fashion (overly long barrel, bulky etc...).
    Dangerous Radiation - The weapon exposes its wielder to some form of dangerous radiation or fume.
    Variable Power - The weapons damage varies randomly nothing and its normal damage.

    There is a couple of ideas I came up with, I apologize if any are redundant.

    in army of 2, you can purchase shield addons for any gun, reducing damage taken to the face... thats a Defensive Quality...

    in gears of war, there is the chainsaw... that's a melee viable weapon right there... good work, lk!

    Drawback:
    Friendly Fire - The weapon can and will damage any ally or the user if it does damage within range.

    Custom Mod:
    Friendly AI System - The weapon's AI avoids damaging friendlies and reduces the chance of friendly fire.

    Non-Lethal Attatchment Types:
    Healing, Sensing/Radar, Encapturing/Impeding, Grappling/Maneuvering
