    WoW is fun!
    But addicting and costs money.
I play it like a casual player nowadays.

I played WoW for about three years, from Beta. I quit when Sunwell came out. I played on Akama, as Mage class leader for <Warpath>, the server's most progressed Horde guild.

I loved WoW before Burning Crusade, back when the best gear was only available to people who put the time in. I loved 40-man raids, MC, BWL, AQ40, Naxx, etc. It was an amazing game, and i'de still be playing it if it didn't turn into the casual piece of dog**** it is today. Now you get epics for logging on (Not litterally, but almost.). Cross server battlegrounds ruined the community feel, people stopped world PvP and hardly even left the capital cities. There was no sense of 'war' whatsoever because you never knew who the hell you were fighting nowadays. All the classes are slowly being made less and less unique. Now everyone and their mother has epic gear, because Blizzard dumbed the game down to reward everyone for doing... basically anything. The new expansion was completed in 63 hours by a raiding guild.

This is why I hate WoW, Blizzard sold themselves out and catered to the casual players.

I dont like the whole idea of the game and that it gets so much attention.

Loved the southpark episode on it. Made me think that the nerds playing that game probably do look like what the guys become after all that training and made me feel better for some reason.

I honestly dont know why I dislike that game so much, never played it, so there's not a lot for me to say.

But all the cool kids are catering to casuals now!
Any chance you're waiting for Darkfall?

And Lombar, days when it was nerds like this playing the game are long gone, thanks to WoW

    I seriously doubt that.

Maybe wrong wording, I didn't mean to say there aren't people like that. Just that there's much more "normal" people playing mmos

Rofl, you made me remember when Cartman had to take a shiet (in that episode)
His mom came down the stairs with a pot and he started squirting out crap xD
"*Pushes a button* Mom! Bathroom! Bathroom!"

Better wording means better understanding :)

I still doubt that new point. I personally think that the same % of people playing MMO back then and today that you can consider "normal" will be the same. Because of WoW their are only more people playing.

I usually don't like talking against a vague statement like "normal" but what ever you meant by normal, law of average says that if there are more "normal" people playing MMO that means there is an equivalent in % of "not-normal" people playing.

So you are right saying that more "normal" people plays MMO, but there are also more "not-normal" people as well.
