It's been a while since I posted in this thread, but I 1) have finally found a collaborator whom I like very much, and 2) I have also been working on a campaign from The Confederate perspective. The following is in-game dialogue taken from the 1st Confederate mission. I'd like to know what you all think of my dialogue.

    Mission 1: Boiling Point

Two Mining Guilds are fighting in the opening cut scene. Confederate Marines arrive to enforce 'extraordinary measures' in order to claim the operation and break up the fight between the blue and white SCVs. All of the SCVs become Orange. All, except for one.

BLUE MINER: I would be interested to know, sir: how ‘temporary’ are these measures? Also: how does The Confederacy vindicate this flagrant breach of the immunity clause contained within the contract Tarsonis signed with our Guild? Sir?

CAPTAIN E. DUKE: I’m sorry, my bull**** is a ‘lil rusty. Do you work half as much as you talk?

    (pause)

CAPTAIN E. DUKE: Hmmph. So... do you know how to operate your digger?

BLUE MINER: I fail to see the relevance of this enquiry…

CAPTAIN E. DUKE: You’re a smart boy, yeah? Can use words like “vendercate”. Mining is no complicated task –is it?

    (pause)

CAPTAIN E. DUKE: Well, is it?

BLUE MINER: No. But this is utter--

CAPTAIN E. DUKE: Good! Now, we already established you’re a smart boy, and you agree mining is simple work. So, why all the questions?

BLUE MINER: This is ridiculous! Where’s your commanding officer? I’d like an answer. I demand to speak to your commanding officer.

CAPTAIN E. DUKE: The Colonel is taking a piss.

BLUE MINER: Well, I’d like to speak with him once he’s available.

CAPTAIN E. DUKE: Well, it’s going to be a very long piss, and until then, you speak to me and do as I say.

BLUE MINER: To Hell with this! I’ll find him myself!

The BLUE MINER begins to leave. CAPTAIN E. DUKE motions to two Marines.

CAPTAIN E. DUKE: Gentlemen, that punk is looking for the nearest holding cell. I'm counting on you to help him find it.

    MARINES: Sir, yes, sir!
