How will you defend your base?

Which makes no sense. A few questions though:

1.Is the radar tower the one that just show units in the fog of war or is it the big itime one that uncovers a large protion of the map.
2.What has the longer sight range: Missile Turret or Sensor Tower

 

1. Radar tower just shows the locations of enemy units with a big !, even in the fog of war.
2. I'd imagine Sensor Tower has longer sight range.

Most ofits detection isn't sight based so I wonder how far it can see I am betting it is only 3 grids or something just noone noticed because of the other units near it

 

I think there's a little circle showing where the radar tower's unit detection range is, but I might be wrong.

 

Not detection range. Sight range as in the visual distance where it uncovers the fog of war

 

If you want to find that out, I suppose you could just plop down a Radar tower in the middle of nowhere and see how much it uncovers. But in response to you original question, it probably has greater range than a Missile Turret.

 

I was just wondering because if it has greater sight range than that of turrets under its influence then having the turrets detect instead of it nerfs the detection while if it is less then it is an improvement to detection. I wonder if missile turrets will be made cheaper due to lack of detection

 

Well, that would be the case if you placed the missile turrets right next to the radar tower. You'd be better off placing them farther out, so it'll be fine. And the turrets aren't any cheaper either.
