The question isn't "how long does WoW have left?" it is "how long does reality have left... until it is absorbed by WoW?"

Just a bit ago I tried it out...again...raids, flyers, the whole shebang, PvE was sadly simplistic and PvP is imbalanced beyond belief their wacadoo graphics that were OK for me back on release got boring soon into northrend, there is little incentive to start a character from scratch. DK's are a 1 trick pony and My favorite class(Warriors) are bottom rung, all in all I'd give it 2-3 years there are a handful of promising MMO's coming out soon, which will absorb fractions of WoW's populace, I'm going back to GW and jumping into GW2 on release date, maybe earlier if I can get my hands on a beta key. WoW's got room for many expansions and it won't DIE for a long time but its reign of MMO Juggernaut is going to come to a screeching halt soon.

I've always wondered why The Valsheress in that pic was red skinned, she's a Drow shouldn't her skin be black?

WoW will live until an MMO that has better graphics and is cheaper, that is very popular comes out. Then mostly everyone will quit wow and start playing that game.

WoW's set in stone for the next few years, and all these so called WoW-killers have yet to live up to their titles.

The only way wow can be defeated is by blizzards hand them self. WOW WILL NOT DIE TO A SINGLE GAME!

WOW will die to starcraft2 and diablo3 combined. D3 will be out around the zerg or protoss sagas so kids will be saving there money for 1 of the 2 if not both. (i personaly know) when D3 hits shelves i'm telling all my wow buddies there fags and robbing my guild back selling the items giving it to EVERYone in Org and logging forever....

    Different genres.

Massively multiplayer online roleplaying game - World of Warcraft.

Real time strategy - Starcraft 2.

Dungeon crawling hack and slash roleplaying game - Diablo 3.

It's impossible, or nearly, for cross-genre games to even kill each other.

WoW will merely die from age, or WoW 2 if ever made.

I don't know MMOs like the first everquestst, and final fantasy 11 still have plenty of people playing them and they were a LOT less popular than World of Warcraft is. I still think the game has a lot of life left in it as long as there are still people willing to play.

Although there is rumor that Blizzard is working on a next generation MMO not based on any of their current franchises so that could take some player base away but I still think people are gonna be playing it for awhile to come.
