I thought the ventral sacks sucked for Zerg if it died boom you lose 8 souls and 8 spaces of units it has about 4 uses

    1: detection
    2: transportation
    3: scouting
    4: souls

you always had to have atleast 1 in your army when the army dies it has to run for dear life back to yor base.

So you think all kinds of transports are bad? All units inside a Dropship/Shuttle are destroyed with it, too.

I know its bad with all the races but you lose the souls and you need more then 1 overlord to transport with all the hydras they took up 2 spaces then you lose up to 16 souls.

Yeah, if you screw up...? That's like saying Banelings are worthless because in one scenario you thought up they all get shot down before reaching their targets.

Is there any way to screw up transporting besides being seen?

    somewhere....not sure
what if it was a space terrain where theres "islands" of platforms
you can see the nydus worm tunnel, then it reaches a corner of a platform then AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
down goes the worm in the never-ending deep soul-sucking darkness of space

    EDIT:

and dropships should have parachute options
where if a dropship gets destroyed, the marines would just parachute down
and siege tanks would fall to their doom (must have an animation of tanks falling to the ground and smashing)
    or
the tanks inside at full health would survive the fall but with only 10-20% of health after the fall
