but i'll still prefer drop pods for base raiding and harassing. and a nuke is effective for units. if the nuke will be used at buildings, most of the buildings will still stand.

if you only drop one pod you are hardly gonna kill any buildings with 6 marines before they get killed, if you drop many pods then hey i can also drop many nukes... i doubt any buildings would still be standing after that

    hm. can't argue with that.

but i was also thinking if you first nuke the place then drop pods. that would be righteous. ;D

Indeed, dropping marines first and then nuke the place seems pretty dunb to me. :p

yeah the drop pods are the nuke mop up crews, the marines inside should be issued with radioactive protection gears.

probably need extra strong ones since they are going in during the immediate aftermath of a nuclear explostion

Yeah, idk why people didnt use nukes as much, i mean think about it, the battle starts you drop a nuke on his army, if he just moves, your siege tanks will get a few extra hits, so if you take down just two dragoons, or 2 zealots and a high templar or like 5-6 hydras while he's backing away, you're in profit.

Josh in my own experience, i found nukes more useful for anti-base efforts than I ever did for anti-unit efforts. Units can see that dot and gtfo of dodge, a building sees that dot and says "Oh wait, I cant move" And I dunno what patch you've been permanently playing but the nuke totals just about any building it hits.

that's easy, terrans has many aoe attacks now, seige tank, banshee, plasma torpedo or even reaper's d8. i know that d8 is static but if the zergs stay under the swarm then they'll be blown to pieces

Cause your topic is silly. How is dark swarm even an issue? Or serious enough an issue to devote an entire thread to it. And you did not type "How are we terrans going to defend against Dark Swarm." you said How are we gonna fight the Zerg, which is pretty fucking ambiguous if you ask me.

we dont even know if the defiler will be back, and what abilities it will have, if its back and it has dark swarm AND consume, and the science vessel remains without irradiate i admit its going to be very hard.

What do you meen specificly as the 'dark swarm'? I refer to it as a zerg strategy and also a protoss stragegy as well although normally not used by many Protoss Executors. In your case it may be something entierly different so please enlighten me.

Has anyone mentioned that this thread should technically be "How do we (the Zerg) fight against the Terrans?"

In SC1 (and therefore probably SC2) Zerg > Protoss > Terran > Zerg.

ZvT is the toughest matchup possible for the Zerg, not the other way around.
